Sophia's face stiffened, but she burst out in laughter again. "He was just pretending to be wheelchair-bound! How else could he recover so quickly?"

Corinne crossed her arms and stood her ground. "Yes. I know that he had been pretending to be wheelchair-bound the past few days, but don't you have any idea why he was pretending?
