"That's true. We cannot treat marriage lightly. Two people who do not love each other should not be forced to be together. Let's accommodate their demands as best we can in financial terms," Chelsea concurred, turning her gaze to Sherman who remained aloof.

"You're making a mountain out of a molehill. I've done nothing disgraceful, so please don't work yourselves up over this. I promise I'll resolve this matter without implicating our family," said Sherman.

Simona could not shake her concern. "But it must be such a pity for that girl, or else her father wouldn't have come over to seek us out. I feel like I should go and meet her."
