Upon hearing that Rosa was going to be okay, both Charles and Evelyn let out a huge sigh of relief. Evelyn's legs gave out for a moment as the tension left her body all at once. Charles instinctively reached out to steady her, but she shrugged him off, determined to stand on her own.

As they watched Rosa being wheeled out of the emergency room, they rushed over to her side.

Rosa had been out cold for an entire day and night, still not showing any signs of waking up. Dr. Nelson ran another thorough check-up to be sure. While Rosa's health seemed stable, when she'd wake up was still a mystery.

Later, Charles found himself back at Oakwood Manor. He was alone and retreating to the study. He fired up the cloud storage to review the saved surveillance footage. He pulled out all the clips that Charlie was in.

Five years back, Evelyn got pregnant with Charlie, but due to a misunderstanding, Charles had been distant throughout her pregnancy, only offering financial support. When it was time for the delivery, he ensured she had the best hospital, doctors, and postnatal care. He was even the first to hold little Charlie when she was born. But that was about the extent of his involvement. He was constantly busy and hardly ever made it back to Oakwood Manor. As Charlie grew, he was pretty much an absentee dad.

With a mix of emotions, Charles clicked on a video from years ago. It started with Evelyn bringing Charlie back home from the postnatal care center. He watched those sleepless nights when Charlie fussed, keeping Evelyn up.
