"Charles, how can you accuse Wesley of being a rapist without any evidence? Just based on what Dahlia says?" Charles was momentarily taken aback, his expression darkening. The tension in the room was palpable.

Suddenly, Dahlia's tearful voice broke through from behind Charles. She was crying, her words choked with emotion, "Evelyn, I might not have had evidence from seven years ago, but just now, he barged in and assaulted me again."

"If Charles hadn't shown up when he did, I almost... would've been violated by that monster. Look at these marks he left!" As Dahlia spoke, she pulled off the jacket Charles had placed over her shoulders, revealing her nightgown, torn and disheveled, as well as the marks she had coaxed Wesley into leaving on her neck. They looked alarming.

Wesley's eyes were bloodshot, staring at those marks that he always thought of as signs of their affection. He never imagined that Dahlia would one day use them to accuse him of rape. The betrayal by the woman he loved felt like a stab to the heart. He looked at the changed Dahlia, speechless. His lips moved to deny it, but no words came out.

Charles turned and gently pulled the clothes back over Dahlia, who leaned into his arms, trembling and crying as she continued to accuse Wesley, "He's a rapist. He broke into my home and almost attacked me again. Shouldn't he be in jail instead of free to hurt me?"

"Evelyn, do you really want to wait until he actually succeeds before you believe me?" No matter what, she was determined to see Wesley behind bars today. He was out of her control, no longer compliant. Letting him stay outside, where he could keep bothering her, was too risky.

Evelyn watched Charles, who was full of concern, her smile colder than ever. If she didn't know about Wesley and Dahlia's relationship, Dahlia's convincing act could have made her believe Wesley was guilty!

"Is it because of the issue with Charlie's kidney? You hate me, so you let this rapist loose to hurt me again, right?"

"You're a woman too; how can you stoop to this level for revenge? You know full well that for a woman, this is a lifelong scar, a pain that never fades!"

Hearing Charlie's name, a chilling intensity sparked in Evelyn's eyes. Her gaze, as sharp as a blade, bore into Dahlia. Two years had passed, but the hatred hadn’t lessened; it had only grown, rooted deeply in her heart. As long as she lived, this hatred would never die. Between her and Dahlia, it was a battle to the bitter end.
