"I don't want this anymore." Evelyn pushed her elbow against Charles' chest, trying not to let him get too close.

"Huh." Charles chuckled softly, his voice deep and husky.

"You think I'm so easy to manipulate? Do you think you can flirt when you want and push me away when you don't? Hmm?"

His strong, defined hand gripped her waist, and his thin lips kissed behind her ear.

That was Evelyn's sensitive spot, and she felt a tingling sensation run through her body. She shrank her neck, feeling his determination. "Charles! Grandma is waiting for me!"

Without Dahlia around, Evelyn just wanted to be far away from Charles.

"Grandma said she flew for over twenty hours. She's tired and already asleep and told you not to disturb her rest."

Charles blocked her way out.

If Grandma's memory had stopped five years ago, that would have been when she was most eager to match him with Evelyn. She probably wished they could spend more time together.

Evelyn's eyes reddened with anger. She lifted her leg to stomp hard on Charles' foot. But before she could, her body suddenly lifted off the ground, and her feet left the floor.
