Drew’s resolute words sent a chill down Axel’s and Ralph’s spines.

Drew could be ruthless and heartless when he wanted to. Even after all these years, his persistent estrangement from Wyatt showed just how stubborn he could be.

“Drew, there’s no need to be so extreme.”

Bella shook her head calmly. “If she sincerely repents and is willing to break free from Christopher’s manipulation and come to our side, I don’t want to make things difficult for her.”

Bella’s words caught Drew off guard. “Bella, do you mean…”

“If she’s willing to turn against Christopher and even come work for me, I’ll gladly accept her and find her a position in one of the group’s subsidiaries. She won’t have to live that kind of debased life at Pivotage anymore.”

Even Justin was surprised upon hearing Bella’s words. “Bella, is that really what you want?”

Axel also frowned. “Even though she helped Drew and provided us with some evidence, it could be a trap set by Christopher and her to gain our trust. She could be a double agent.”

“If that were true, she would’ve caused a bigger commotion when Drew infiltrated Pivotage and pretended to resolve it. Then Drew would have owed her a bigger favor. But she didn’t do that. She genuinely meant to let Drew escape safely and give him pieces of evidence against Christopher. She was looking for the best possible way to handle things.”

As she spoke, her bright eyes turned toward Drew. Her gaze became thoughtful. “What Yvonne gave Drew was her token of goodwill and a trump card from Christopher. If she were merely trying to curry favor, she wouldn’t take such risks.”

Drew’s expression remained indifferent. However, a complex emotion also flashed in his eyes.

Reviewing the documents again, Ralph wondered aloud, “These pieces of evidence are pretty thorough, though. With the internal power struggles in the Iverson Group being public knowledge, why hasn’t Christopher released these to bring James down directly? Wouldn’t holding back like this only allow more complications to happen over time?”

Just as Bella was about to explain, Justin suddenly spoke coldly, “Bella just mentioned that this is Christopher’s trump card. As the eldest son of the Iverson family, James still holds some shares in the Iverson Group. This is his last remaining value. Christopher intends to use this final leverage at a critical moment to force James to transfer his shares to him, just like he did with Charles.”
