That morning, Wyatt, sticking to his usual routine, came by with more documents. After setting them down, he glanced at Mirabella, still unconscious on the bed, and asked with a serious tone, "Still no change with Ms. Mirabella?"

James, sitting by the window, was massaging his temples, looking noticeably thinner, the stress evident. "Any word from David?" he inquired.

Wyatt shook his head thoughtfully, then suggested, "Should I try giving him a call?"

James nodded slightly without breaking his rhythm. Wyatt stepped aside, whipped out his phone, found David's number, and dialed. But the line just buzzed a few times before cutting off.

Puzzled, Wyatt tried again, only to get the same result. "What's up with that?" James asked, glancing over.

Wyatt shrugged, a bit confused. "Not sure, the call’s just not going through."

James narrowed his eyes slightly, pondering. Wyatt started scrolling through his contacts. "I’ve got his assistant’s number here; I’ll give that a shot."

Dialing again, this time the assistant picked up swiftly. Wyatt didn’t waste time, "Can you tell me if David's found anything that might help?"

Grant glanced towards Presley's office and lowered his voice, "Sorry, there’s been a lot going on at the association. David might not have the time to treat your friend right now."

Wyatt frowned, starting to speak, but then the call abruptly ended.
