Morgan's face twitched with a fleeting discomfort upon laying eyes on Mirabella. The thought of how he, due to his own prejudices, had once pushed such a promising student away to The Advanced Class—and consequently lost his title as an outstanding teacher—filled him with relentless regret.

Mirabella, on the other hand, was indifferent towards Morgan. Even in passing, she didn't bother to greet him; after all, he wasn't her teacher.

At the mention of Mirabella's name again, Morgan hesitated, his fingers twitching unconsciously. He moved closer, his gaze falling onto the exam paper.

The first thing he saw wasn't the listed steps of the solution but the score at the top. "She scored 180?" Morgan's voice trembled slightly.

He hadn't yet checked the math competition results, but having seen the second exam, he was shocked to see a perfect score.

Mr. Brown nodded. "Mirabella got full marks on both the preliminary and the final exam, the only one in the whole city to do so."

At these words, Morgan's throat turned dry, and he stared at the exam paper, speechless.

"I think her methods are quite advanced, very logical. You're into research, too, right, Morgan? You should make a copy of her exam for yourself..."

Parkside High School had been too quiet for too long. It needed a stir.
