James tapped his slender fingers on his thigh and asked, "What time is it?"

James shot Wyatt a glance, then turned away and closed his eyes.

James tossed his jacket onto the couch and walked to the fridge for a bottle of water.

Heading back to the living room, his eyes scanned the coffee table where his phone lay. He bent down and picked it up slowly.

He quickly spotted the message from Mirabella sent two hours ago.

James's eyebrows lifted, his fingers paused, but he didn't reply. Instead, he turned off the phone screen.

She stepped out and soon was jogging along the lakeside path.
