KAEL.

Keeping a low profile was never a problem for me. I could keep myself quiet for a long time, but I couldn’t tear my eyes off Adessa from the moment she appeared at the banquet.

Even before, she was already beautiful. But seeing her in a beautiful gown and all this luxury around her made her shine even more. She was really fit to be a princess.

To be honest, I felt little—too little compared to her. I was starting to think I didn’t deserve her, especially after everything I did to her.

But the moment our eyes locked and she returned the smile I gave her, hope rose in my chest. Maybe she still wanted me.

And with each minute that passed by, my hopes kept getting higher.

I didn’t take my eyes off her, so I caught her every time she looked at me while seated at the head table and eating breakfast. She was more than ten meters away from me, but I could see her lips twitching into a smile whenever we locked eyes, even if she placed something in her mouth. I counted the times she looked around, and they were nothing compared to the many times she glanced at me. I was glad the King was beside her and didn’t see her checking me.

But I knew I couldn’t just sit there and watch her. I needed to do something.

While the King was busy talking to someone, I stood up and closed the button of my coat. Adessa looked at me, and I slightly cocked my head to the right toward the exit, where I knew the restrooms were. I wasn't sure if this was the same restroom used by the royalties, but I decided to take a chance.

And, like always, this woman didn’t fail me. She got my signal.

When I finally smelled her, I moved away from the corner to wait for her.

When she finally came into view, her presence alone slowly filled all the emptiness I felt in the last twelve hours.

I opened my arms because my words failed me, and Adessa immediately threw herself at me.

I caught her and crashed my lips onto hers as my arms wrapped around her, kissing her hungrily while gripping her body tightly. She could be taken away from me any minute, but I knew this was worth it. I got to feel her in my arms, I got to devour her lips, and I got the confirmation that she still wanted me as much as I wanted her.

Her hands moved to grab my face as we continued kissing until I felt another set of hands pushing me, and it made me withdraw my lips from her, which elicited a groan of disapproval from her.

Our heads turned to the woman who came with us because she kept pushing us, mumbling as she did. “Inside… inside, please, or we’ll all be in trouble.”

It was only then I realized what she wanted us to do. I moved swiftly and opened one of the doors, a single restroom for females, and Adessa stepped in. I followed her shortly.

“Danielle…” She called to the woman outside. “Please…”

The woman nodded. “Princess Adessa, you must check first before letting the gentleman out.”

I swallowed at her words. I didn’t feel like a gentleman at the moment because I had just ambushed and kissed a princess.

“And lock the door.” She added.

Adessa nodded. I closed the door and locked it before facing her. Our faces mirrored each other’s happiness.

“Her Royal Highness,” I bowed to her, and a teasing smile was evident on my face.

She slapped my shoulder before cupping my cheeks, and I didn’t hesitate to lean closer and capture her lips. In no time, I was carrying her, and he began grinding her hips against mine.

My cock came to life in an instant.

“Adessa…” I groaned as I sucked her bottom lip, my hand tightening around her neck.

“Fuck me, Kael.” She whimpered.
