Chapter 15

“Gideon!” Elara screamed.

Everyone, including Matthew Lavinia, Benny, and Derek, was all stunned.

“What are you doing here?” Elara and Lavinia questioned in unison.

The two women exchanged g

lances before asking each other, “You know him?”

Elara replied, “Ms. Mosley, Gideon is… my husband, but only in name!”

“Your husband?” Lavinia was filled with doubt.

Wasn’t Gideon supposed to be unmarried? Why did he have a wife now?

Elara asked, “Ms. Mosley, do you know him?”

Lavinia thought for a moment. Not wanting Gideon to use her name to deceive others, she shook her head. “No. I don’t know him.”

Elara breathed a sigh of relief.

“Gideon, what are you doing here? Ms. Mosley said this residence belongs to Mr. Zeller, the King of Battle! How dare you sneak in here? Do you have a death wish?” Elara angrily scolded him.

Matthew and the others also erupted with righteous indignation, shouting, “Gideon, how dare you break into Mr. Zeller’s house? Are you insane? You’re done for!”

Everyone hurled accusations at him.

Gideon snorted coldly. “Are you done? If you’re finished, get out of here. Stop yapping away at my door. It’s annoying!”

Once he finished speaking, he slammed the door shut with a bang.

Everyone was dumbfounded.

What had Gideon just said?

Did he call this place his house?

In an instant, Lavinia became infuriated.

She’d ignored the way Gideon rescinded their engagement back at Oasis Vale. She’d held back when he’d coldly refused to step in at the airport, showing not even an ounce of bravery or sense of duty.

But now, she couldn’t tolerate it any longer.

Dominic was her role model, and she specifically came here to meet him in the hopes of convincing him to return to battle. Yet Gideon had shown up here at Dominc’s residence and even claimed it was his!

It was preposterous!

Lavinia considered this an insult to Dominic’s name and reputation!

“Gideon, get out here right now!” Lavinia demanded, her voice steely as she exploded in fury.

Elara and the others were terrified and quickly retreated, putting distance between themselves and her.

Matthew sneered. “Gideon’s screwed now. Ms. Mosley is definitely going to punish him. She might even cripple

him.”

The others agreed, gleefully gloating over the situation.

Though Elara was furious, a thought struck her. “How had Gideon gotten into Mr. Zeller’s villa in the first place? Isn’t there something fishy about that?”

Matthew said, “It’s simple. Beaker Island is a restricted area, so perhaps Mr. Zeller never expected anyone to break in. The villa probably wasn’t even locked. Gideon must’ve seen it unlocked and snuck in.”

“That makes sense,” someone else piped up.

Elara furrowed her brows in thought.

Matthew laughed. “Ella, you can’t seriously think that this villa belongs to Gideon, right?”

Elara replied, “If Gideon snuck in, then why didn’t Mr. Zeller apprehend him? We clearly saw that Rolls–Royce entering Beaker Island.”

Matthew looked around but couldn’t spot the Rolls–Royce anywhere. “Mr. Zeller must’ve left again. Otherwise, Gideon wouldn’t have the guts to sneak into the villa.”

Elara thought about it and realized that this explanation did seem plausible.

Meanwhile, Lavinia was still shouting angrily in front of the villa, demanding that Gideon come out. She didn’t resort to force because the villa belonged to Dominic, and she didn’t want to cause any damage.

“Gideon, you’re not coming out, huh? Fine. Hide in there all you want! I’ll wait right here! Let’s see how you’re going to run off when Mr. Zeller returns! He won’t show you any mercy. He might even kill you on the spot.”

A voice rang out from inside the villa, “You’re so irritating!

Lavinia trembled with rage.
