Both Matis and Mel kept their heads lowered in fear, seeing that Lobo was seething.

"What? Why aren't you talking?" Lobo growled impatiently. "Cat got your tongue?"

"A-Actually, I was just pulling your leg." Matis cleared his throat and flashed an awkward smile. "No one robbed me at all."

"Yes, yes, yes… My son was just kidding!" Mel was smiling and nodding repeatedly as well.

"You fucking people!"

Lobo bellowed furiously, slapping Matis across the face right then. "I was looking forward to venting my frustrations, but you're now telling me you're just fucking with me? Even the likes of you think you can walk all over me, huh?"

"Fine," he growled, waving Matis off. "You don't need to come in for work tomorrow. There will be a new CEO in Jundo Showtown soon. Now get out of my sight!"

Matis panicked right then, upon hearing that he was fired from the job he had gone to great lengths to get.

Ignoring his mother's interference, he quickly said, "I'm not messing with you, Lobo. It's just that the guy is… someone you can't mess with…"

"Really?"

Even as he trailed off to a mumble, Lobo laughed in amusement, but his face suddenly fell and he seized Matis by the collar, bellowing, "What the hell is with you today? You didn't take your meds? Is there anyone I can't mess with? Are you belittling me or just fucking with me?! Is there anyone the Soranos are afraid of?!"

Then, he shoved Matis to have him lead the way. "Just take us to him already!"

"Oh, no, no, no… It's really alright, sir," Mel quickly said. "My son is fine without his job, and we—"

"You'd better keep your mouth shut, hag!"

"Yeah, it's Frank Lawrence," Matis said, standing awkwardly at the doorway.

Kat spotted him just then, and she immediately glowered and snapped at Matis hostilely, "Why did you come back? Do you want more?!"

"N-No…" Matis could die even as he stood at the door, unsure what to do as he could neither enter nor back out.

"Mr. Lawrence!"

Mel suddenly pushed her son out of the way and rushed inside, kowtowing to Frank and Nash even as she begged, "I'm so sorry, Mr. Lawrence… We shouldn't have mocked you! Please just forgive us! I swear you won't ever see us again! Please just let us live!"

Kat was actually surprised by her Aunt Mel's reaction.
