"Everyone," Carlo bellowed, "he massacred my elite guards, and the commissioner would've been killed if I hadn't done my best to stop him!

"But even then, he didn't change his ways and instead killed the commissioner anyway in the most treacherous fashion! He's vile through and through!"

The police officers and the members of the Martial Alliance were all stunned by Carlo's outburst.

This was no crime of passion—it was premeditated murder!

He had failed once, so he tried again and succeeded the second time round!

Frank did not actually expect Carlo to show up now, and he glared sharply as he pointed at Carlo and snapped, "Carlo Barzini! You were conspiring with the commissioner and tried to plant fake pills in Zamri Hospital, but I spared your life even though I caught you! And now you're still trying to distort the truth?!"

He was actually regretting sparing a man as despicable as Carlo—he should have killed him on the spot and spared himself the trouble.

Carlo was terrified when he saw Frank's furious glare, but he soon puffed his chest. "Still trying to slander me?! You only caught me off guard, and you'd be dead if not for me! But the commissioner spared you because he was too kind for his own good, only to be blindsided by you! You deserve death!"
