After lunch, Frank and the others headed outside, where a Rolls-Royce was waiting.

Jada took the wheel, telling Frank as she drove, "The people in our subsidiaries can be a little difficult, so don't get taken for a ride."

Alda spoke up just then, saying, "Don't get overconfident! I'm telling you, those gangs can be really disgusting. They don't consider how they should properly make money, only thinking about how to suck up to people and swindle them. Worse of all, most of them fall victim to them."

Since Alda had been working for her family business before this, she very much agreed with what Jada said.

Frank simply kept quiet, shaking his head.

Their first stop was at a company called Tammeron, which was a property management company. The owner, Urich Hampton, used to be good friends with Pax and was said to be a well-connected gangster.

Whitney was at once surprised and delighted as she glanced behind at the beefy men. "That's Mr. Frankton! Now greet him!"

"Mr. Frankton!" The beefy men promptly bowed their heads at Frank.

"What's going on here…?" Frank asked, confused by what Whitney was up to.

She smiled. "You might not be aware, but someone in Chandlerton had a business transaction with the wonder of Tammeron. And guess what—that prick bailed with the money, and I'm here to demand compensation for my people."

"What?!" Jada frowned. "No way… Tammeron may not be a major company, but surely they wouldn't stoop to conning people?"

Alda was puzzled too—money would always come in, as long as a company maintained their daily operations. Why would they do something that would barely earn them any money while also getting them charged in court?

Nonetheless, Whitney shook her head. "What would you know? Urich Hampton is just built differently—he takes joy in swindling people, and he'd always wait for his victims to come hunting for him, and then humiliate them."
