There was a trace of astonishment flashing across Wyatt's eyes, but he spat out coldly, "Since you're being so persistent, I'll grant you three days to think it over. Today will be the first day.

"You should hurry back to your company because things are about to go down!"

Rachel could tell that he was threatening her, but she sneered, "You think I'm scared?" After she had said that, she turned to leave.

Then, Wyatt whipped his phone out and called someone. "Hello, Derek? The negotiation went wrong. Take some men with you to the Wealthwave Group and show them what we can do!"

After Rachel entered the elevator, she took out her phone. Seeing how anxious Rachel became, Tracy reminded her and said, "You won't get a signal on the elevator."

Upon hearing that, Rachel simply hummed in reply and let out a worried expression. She had a premonition of what Wyatt was about to do.

Once she got out of the elevator, she made a call to Zachary and said, "Arrange for a few more men to patrol the area."

Coincidentally, Zachary had something to tell her too. "Ms. Carter, something happened at the company."

Rachel was somewhat shocked and asked, "What happened?"

Then, Zachary helplessly explained, "Matthew's ex-mother-in-law came today, and she held up a banner that said he's a scumbag who abandoned his wife and daughter."

At that, Rachel was somewhat taken aback—she had thought that it would be Wyatt's men who were causing a scene.

"She said that she needed to pay the property management fees last time and didn't have enough money. So, she came to me to borrow some money. She probably went mad over the money, so she did that!"

Rachel didn't want to probe into Matthew's past, so she asked, "Are you free now? If you are, could you head over to take care of it?"

Matthew then replied, "Don't worry about Jennifer. I'll head there now and get rid of all her useless thoughts once and for all! I can guarantee that she won't cause a scene in front of your company ever again!"

At the entrance of the Wealthwave Group, Jennifer waited anxiously as time passed—an hour, two hours, and finally, three hours had passed, but there was no sight of Matthew.

The number of people who were gossiping about it had increased, and Jennifer secretly took delight in it.
