Right then, Dylan's phone started ringing, so he pulled it out. Seeing it was Tessa, he picked up the call.

When he heard from Tessa that her target was here, Dylan jabbed his finger at Keith and warned him to stop acting rashly. Then, he started making his way outside. "I'll be right there."

Tessa was anxious. "You've got to hurry this time. I'm worried you'll miss him again."

Dylan replied with a grin, "Don't worry. I'll be there in 15 minutes. I'll hang up now and start driving."

"Mmhm," Tessa responded before ending the call.

After walking out of the coffee shop, Tessa headed straight to the entrance of Gembrooke Building and waited for Matthew to come back.

Matthew went up to the sixth floor. He figured he'd ask Tracy about who was waiting for him, only to find out that she had already left.

As he checked in on the work at the laboratory, he found out that everyone was swamped, but there weren't many results to show for it. After all, when it came to research, the chances of making any breakthroughs were quite slim.

Feeling a little disappointed, Matthew took the elevator down.

Walking out of Gembrooke Building through the door, Matthew saw Tessa, and everything clicked. When Rachel said someone was waiting for him, it was her.

Upon seeing Matthew, Tessa felt like her moment for revenge had finally come. "You're finally here, Matthew."

Matthew's expression turned grim. "You were the one who asked for the divorce, Tessa. Now that things are over, we're practically strangers. Can you quit pestering me?"

Tessa was taken aback for a moment. Then, she pointed at her nose and exclaimed, "How am I clinging to you?"

Matthew coldly replied, "After the divorce, I haven't reached out to you at all, but you keep coming back to me every few days. If that's not bothering me, then what is it?

But… Tessa wanted to defend herself, but she had indeed kept approaching Matthew.

But this time was different. Tessa clenched her teeth and snapped, "You ruined my company and left me drowning in debt, Matthew. All of my suffering is because of you. You have to pay the price today."

Looking at Matthew's cold expression, Tessa felt a wave of fear wash over her.

Tessa scrambled to her feet and slowly backed away, feeling anxious about why Dylan was late again. Just then, she caught sight of his car approaching in the distance.

She immediately felt more confident as she covered her face and glared at Matthew. "How dare you hit me? You're done for. Today, I'm going to settle the score once and for all."
