Rachel caught sight of Matthew, and her dull eyes lit up briefly before returning to normal.

"Did you get everything sorted out?"

Matthew hummed in acknowledgment but frowned when he saw Tracy. After he turned down the idea of having the three of them in a relationship, Tracy had been stirring up trouble.

Tracy chuckled as she gazed at Matthew. "Are you here to clear things up with Rachel? Let's hear it. I'm curious what kind of excuse you'll come up with this time."

Matthew shook his head. "I didn't come here for Rachel. I'm here to talk to you."

Why? Tracy was taken aback. "What do you need from me?"

Matthew coldly stated, "A new person named Paul joined the research institute. Did you hire him?"

Tracy's expression changed as she said in a huff, "What's that supposed to mean, Matthew? I worked so hard to recruit this talent. You're so ungrateful, and you even think about smacking me."

Matthew sternly replied, "For the past ten years, Professor Bolton's research has been in the global spotlight. You wouldn't believe how many people are trying to steal the data.

"How is this related to the telomere research we just started? You can't be claiming that Silas, a traditional medicine doctor, is better than the Clark family's researchers, are you?"

Matthew continued, "You're spot on. Sara from the Clark family came to Lambda City just to bring Silas on board for their telomere project. He is crucial in the telomere research."

Tracy sported an apologetic look. "I-I have no clue about that."

Matthew snarled, "You fool!"

Tracy gritted her teeth in anger. She knew she was wrong, but did Matthew have to put it like that? He was definitely using this matter to hassle her.
