Set the entire Wealthstone Building on flames? Was Matthew really going to do that?

Anson's legs went wobbly out of fright, and he had to hold onto the windowsill to keep himself steady. He nervously asked Lyndon, "What do we do now, Uncle Lyndon? He's setting the building on fire from the first floor, and we're stuck on the tenth. Are we going to be burned alive?"

Lyndon was so mad that he started cursing, "That bastard! He's actually burning down the building. That's just twisted."

Anson couldn't believe Lyndon was swearing at a time like this and quickly reminded him, "Let's figure out a way to escape, Uncle Lyndon. If we don't act fast, the fire will reach us."

Lyndon pointed at the office door. "Let's move. We can take the elevator down. The one to the 15th floor is shut off, but we've got one that goes straight to the tenth floor."

Anson was sweating bullets out of panic. "The first floor is in flames, Uncle Lyndon. Taking the elevator down won't help us escape. We need to think of another way fast."

Suddenly, a phone started ringing. Anson glanced over and saw that it was actually a call from the tablet Matthew had taken with him. He picked it up, and Matthew's face appeared on the video call.

He burst out, "Are you out of your mind, Matthew? How dare you torch Wealthstone Building?"

Matthew looked calmer than ever, speaking slowly and steadily, "I'm as cool as a cucumber. You burned down half a building to take my life, so I'll burn the whole place down for you. Guess I'm way more generous."

Anson angrily shouted, "That's my family building you're burning."

Matthew casually replied, "Don't get hung up on whose building it is. All you need to know is I'm burning it for you."

Anson clenched his teeth. "Just you wait. I won't let you off the hook this time!"

"Save your talk for when you make it out alive."

Recalling how Matthew had used the curtains to escape, Anson excitedly shouted, "If you can use the curtains to get down, then I can do it as well. I'll be out of here in no time."

Anson was struck with terror. "I'm fucked! Jumping won't save me. Matthew's waiting down there."

Lyndon glanced down and got even more anxious. "What now? Even if I work up the nerve to jump, I'll still be dead."

Watching the fire spread below, Anson called out, "Just jump first."

With that, he grabbed the two makeshift parachutes and spun around to catch the wind. After that, he took a running start and smashed through the window, leaping down like Matthew.

Falling unsteadily through the hot air, Anson shut his eyes in fear. He felt nothing but the wind roaring past him. Suddenly, his feet hit the solid ground, and he tumbled over. It finally hit him that he had landed.

Feeling a sense of relief wash over him, Anson slowly opened his eyes, only to see Matthew standing in front of him with his longsword.
