Upon hearing Leopolod's words, Clement's expression turned grim. "Matthew's not the one who died, Dad."

Taken aback, Leopold subconsciously asked, "Who, then?"

Clement took a deep breath. "It's Lyndon and Anson; they're gone…" He trailed off, unable to continue after that.

Lyndon's dying screams echoed in his mind, and fear washed over him again. He felt a sudden chill run down his spine.

Leopold was shocked, feeling as though he had just been struck by lighting. His figure wobbled a little, and he nearly collapsed.

Leaning against the wall for support, Leopold took a moment before asking feebly, "How could this happen? With all the money we have, we could just pay others to do the work. How did they end up dead?"

Clement explained, "We've paid The Misfortune's Veil to assassinate Matthew, but they kept messing up. Lyndon couldn't wait anymore, so he took matters into his own hands. After tricking Matthew to the 15th floor, he set fire to the 12th floor, planning to burn him alive."

Hearing that, Leopold narrowed his weary old eyes. It wasn't a bad idea, but it came with a price. Still, the Fuller family wouldn't break a sweat over losing this little amount of money.

He was still baffled. "Why is Matthew still alive, then?"

Clement shook his head. "I have no clue. Lydon called me, saying he was about to be burned alive. His screams were heart-wrenching. You have no idea how awful it sounded. Lyndon even warned us not to mess with Matthew again and told us to forget about seeking revenge from Matthew."

Leopold stayed silent for a long time, lost in memories of Lyndon's childhood. He had cradled Lydon to feed him milk and even changed his diapers. He recalled the first time Lyndon called him "Dad" and the first time Lyndon learned to walk. As he thought about all this, tears streamed down his face.

He wept for a while before asking, "Did Lyndon suffer when he died?"

Leopold thought for a moment before instructing, "Come back right away. I had three sons, and now, only you're left. I can't bear to lose another. I'll handle the revenge myself."

Clement was startled. "Calm down, Dad. You need help just to get around. Don't make things harder."

Leopold coldly grunted. "I'm not making things harder, and I've carefully thought this through. After all, I don't have much time left. If I die killing Matthew, so be it. But you're different. You're only in your 40s, so you still have a long life ahead. Come back right now and take charge of the Fuller family. That's final!"

Clement couldn't help but feel excited about taking over the Fuller family. It was a pleasant surprise.
