Matthew frowned at his presence. He wasn't sure how the guy found out because he had only asked the woman at the counter regarding the application of the medical license certificate.

He wasn't sure what this guy wanted, so Matthew said, "That's right. I'm here to apply for a medical license certificate."

Aiden Brooks, the guy in sportswear, smiled as he said, "I've got a way."

Matthew sized him up. Aiden seemed a little too shady for him to trust, so he asked, "What is it? The woman said I've got to wait for the director to return."

Aiden kept up his smile and said, "That might only apply to you. Even if you went back a hundred times, she would still say that the director's not available. But I can get the certificate within a day's time if I apply for it."

Matthew was a little shocked. "Really?"

Aiden replied confidently, "It's true. You can find me as long as you need to get a medical license certificate."

Matthew pondered for a while before he asked, "Why are you helping me?"

Aiden froze for a moment, then said, "I'm not helping you. You gotta pay up."

Matthew had never thought things could work this way, so he asked, "How much is it?"

Aiden replied, "Fifty grand, but I can't guarantee you'll get the medical license certificate today because I'm merely the guy who sends the information. If you want to get the medical license certificate today, you'll need to pay at least a hundred grand."

Matthew took a quick glance at counter no. 6. It was obvious that Aiden was an accomplice of that woman.

Clearly, he could have applied for the medical license certificate, but they just wouldn't let him. Instead, they were out here collecting at least a hundred grand to get the application done.

With that thought in mind, Matthew sped up and followed after Aiden, saying, "I'll go and meet them."

Aiden let out a big smile. "You must remember to treat them respectfully, alright? That person is a very powerful figure, so as long as he accepts your money, you can consider the job done."

Matthew was a little dumbfounded. What was Aiden even talking about? It was the woman's job to get her job done, so why should he even pay her and show her respect in the first place?

The anger residing within Matthew grew even more, and they finally arrived at the entrance while they were talking.

Aiden stopped by the guard booth and told Matthew, "Call him Mr. Cole! As long as you pay him, I guarantee you that you'll receive your medical license certificate today!"

Matthew looked at the security guard, stumped. Was he really supposed to treat the security guard with reverence?
