Then, George, Snow, Julius, and Tommy’s figures flashed through his mind. 

“I…” Stephen could not continue. 

“You still overestimate yourself.” Ethan finished speaking and hung up the phone. 

The manager also said, “If there’s nothing else, ll hang up now.”

Stephen lowered his head, slumping in his chair.

Stephen lowered his head. At that moment, he suddenly understood what Ethan meant by him overestimating himself. He had money, and the Quinns had even more so. It was true that he could help some people using that money. 

Although he could help Chloe, he could not help her entire family. Even if Chloe managed to break free, someone else would take her place. 

Similarly, he could help Leo, but he could not help Leo’s future children. 

He could help Penny, but her husband was already dead, and the chances of her son returning to normal were slim to none. 

Sure, Stephen could help, but he could not solve the real problems. Those problems were not something money could resolve. He lowered his head, clenching his fists tightly.
