"Bring me five million to my sister's place," Sam said with a vicious snigger.

I was just about to say something when he hung up on me.

"Bastard!"

I looked at Murphy and instructed him to call the police. I didn't know how Sam managed to escape, but this time, I was going to make sure he would end up in jail for life.

I brought the money to Lorraine's place and knocked on the door a few times. A muffled response came from inside.

"Who is it?" Sam asked.

"It's me. Don't you want the money?"

"How much did you bring?" Sam could see me through the peephole.

I raised the briefcase to show him. "I brought it all."

I heard the lock unclick. The next second, he popped his head out. He asked with an eerie smile, "Did you come alone?"

"Enough with the nonsense."

Sam looked a little more emaciated than before. I couldn't help but mock, "Looks like you had a hard time in prison."

His gaze darkened as he raised his hand. "I'll kill you."

"Where is she?" I went inside and looked around. Sure enough, Lorraine was not there.
