Maeve was taken aback and looked up to see Serena standing there with a look of shock. Frowning, she said, “Miss. Malvis, why are you here?” 

“I came to get something,” said Serena. 

Serena sized up Macve a few times. When he saw the soil on her legs, a trace of disdain appeared in his heart. 

“Ms. Reese, I know you have a carefree personality, but is it appropriate to treat someone else’s garden like a rural field?” 

“What’s wrong?” Maeve said lightly, wiping her sweat with a handkerchief.

Serena gripped her purse tightly and smiled insincerely. “I forgot. After all, who would believe Mr. Mcdaniel’s fiancée is an orphan with no power or influence? Ms. Reese, don’t blame me for being straightforward. With such a big difference in your social status, it’s uncertain how far you can go in the future.” 

Serena didn’t even bother to put on an act any more after Maeve stole his father’s credit last time at the hospital. 

With her status, being polite to Maeve, an orphan girl, was already giving Maeve respect.

purely crossing the line or are you trying to sow discord between them? 

“Miss Malvis, you are young and beautiful. You do have a certain amount of capital. However, I advise you not to target my son. I only acknowledge Maeve as my daughter–in–law. We won’t allow outsiders to say anything about her although we don’t care about her identity.”
