“Father, are you sure it’s okay not to send someone to follow Maeve?” Zephyr asked softly, hiding an indescribable worry. 

“I’ve sent all my shadow guards to her. They’ll appear if she’s in danger.” Gale sighed and said sourly, “My daughter has grown up.” 

Maeve thought she had secretly run away from home, but everyone in the family knew it. 

She and Tucker boarded the cruise ship to Chris Continent. After two days and two nights, they finally arrived at their destination. 

“May I know what this place is?” Maeve asked the cruise ship’s manager in front of a desolate snow mountain. 

The manager glanced at her ticket. “You’re going to Chris Continent. Our route can’t enter there. Cross this snow mountain, and you’ll be there.” 

Maeve was speechless and cursed inwardly, ‘Damn it. This is a trap!

Tucker’s body, which had shrunk to about 3.5 feet tall, contracted and elongated again. Its mechanical arms and legs folded or deformed, turning into a small white convertible before Maeve.

Maeve got in and waved her hand forward. “Let’s go. Our destination is Chris Continent!” 

“Roger that. Sit tight and don’t fall.” When Tucker finished speaking, the white car disappeared with a whoosh. 

The white car quickly created a winding route on the endless snowy ground and crossed half the snowy mountain in less than half an hour.
