Chapter 56 Ziana Was Just Messing With Him

Who cared about her surprise? 

Did she think that by ignoring him all night and giving him a surprise today, he would forgive her and help her out? 

Boris wasn’t so easily fooled! 

He coldly typed “not available” and was about to hit send, but then he immediately withdrew his hand. 

True indifference was not even bothering to respond. 

He could just pretend that this person and this message did not exist. 

Better that than replying and having her come back with apologies and begging him for forgiveness. 

Boris made up his mind, tied his tie, and picked up his suit jacket as he left the villa. 

Nell was already waiting for him outside. 

Nell opened the car door for Boris and respectfully asked him to get in, then went around to the driver’s seat. 

Just then, Boris spoke up. “What’s on my schedule this morning?” 

Nell listed off his appointments. “You have a 40–minute meeting at 8 a.m. Afterwards, at 9 a.m., you have an appointment with the CEO of Everwell Real Estate to discuss the land in the southern part of the city. Then at 11 a.m., you have an online meeting that will last until 11:30 a.m.” 

“Well,” Boris thought for a moment and said, “Cancel the 9 a.m. meeting with the CEO of Everwell Real Estate.” 

Nell wondered, “Mr. Lewis, aren’t you very interested in this project?” 

“I’m not feeling well,” Boris replied, his face unchanged. 

“If you’re not feeling well, shouldn’t we cancel all of your appointments this morning?” Nell asked nervously. 

“No need,” Boris waved his hand. “I can attend the other two.”

Nell’s mouth twitched and thought, This is just too much of a coincidence, isn’t it?> 

As Boris‘ assistant, Nell asked sincerely, “Mr. Lewis, what’s bothering you? Would you like me to 

call a doctor?” 

Boris glanced at him and said, “Just drive the car.” 

Boris arrived at the company, attended the meeting, and returned to his office. There were still five 

minutes left until 9 a.m. 

He suddenly realized that his tie was a little loose, and he solemnly tightened it. 

Just then, the phone on his desk rang. 

He raised an eyebrow and answered the phone slowly after several rings. “Speak.” 

“Mr. Lewis, Mr. Sam is here,” the voice on the other end said. 

Boris thought, “Biber? What is he doing here at this time?” 

Boris glanced at the time. It was almost nine o’clock. 

In fact, he didn’t expect any surprises from Ziana. He just wanted to see how she would plead with him and then humiliate her properly. 

He cleared his throat. “I’m busy, just say I’m not available.” 

There was silence on the other end of the phone, then an apology. “I’m sorry, Mr. Lewis. Mr. Sam has already gone upstairs.” 

Boris hung up the phone. Why did Biber suddenly come today? 

As Boris frowned, his office was knocked on. Biber soon pushed the door open, carrying his file box. Boris let him sit wherever he wanted and asked, “What would you like to drink? Tea or coffee?” “No, thanks,” Biber smiled at him. “I’m here today on behalf of someone to do some business.” Boris frowned. “Your business is just to talk to your patients, so you shouldn’t be here with me.” “As it happens, your ex–wife asked me to come and give you psychiatric treatment.” Biber sat down on the couch, opened his briefcase, and took out paper and pen, “She said you send her some weird messages every day, suspecting that you have a narcissistic personality disorder, and asked me to treat you. Shall we begin?” 

Boris was speechless. 

The air froze for a moment. 

Boris stared at him, a hint of coldness flashing in his dark eyes. 

Boris chuckled. “You can leave now.” 

“Why?” 

“I’m not sick.” Boris said decisively. 

“Then why do you send those messages to her?” Biber teased him, “Is Mr. Lewis so idle that he has 

time to do that?” 

Boris‘ face remained expressionless at the moment, but he was already holding back his anger. 

He had thought that if Ziana came to the company to apologize to him in person, he would ask Nell to arrange a meeting with the CEO of Muyo Brand. 

Who knew she was just messing with him! 

“I’m very busy. Nell, show him out.” After Boris finished speaking, he stood up and sat in front of his computer. But Biber was still enjoying the show and continued to say, “I heard you had a meeting with Everwell at nine o’clock today. Why did you cancel it suddenly? Are you waiting for me? When do I become so important?” 

“Nell, shut him up and get him out of here.” 

Biber laughed. “Okay, I’m leaving. The live broadcast should start now, and if I stay, you’ll feel uncomfortable watching it.” 

Boris clenched his fists in anger! 

He thought, “Good for you Ziana, you dare provoke me. I want to see if you can handle all of this!” 

He angrily opened his tablet and entered Love 101’s live broadcast room. 

It was nine o’clock in the morning. 

Love 101’s live broadcast began promptly as usual. 

However, due to the commotion caused by Ziana the night before, there were several times more discussions about her in the live chat than usual.

“Ha!” Molly, who was humiliated by Ziana yesterday, held a grudge against her. “She is a liar, don’t you know that? She even claimed in public that she didn’t hit Mr. Zris, but the video proved otherwise. Her words are simply not trustworthy!” 

The group 

fell silent. 

Ziana’s video of her instructing her bodyguard to hit Shawn was still circulating on the internet. 

Molly continued, “Everyone is asking her to apologize to Mr. Zris online, but she’s just pretending it never happened! I’ve never seen someone with such a poor character. I don’t think she can choreograph a dance today!”
