-Son of a bitch!- He failed once more. And his most powerful ally, Ruby was incarcerated. Councilman Ruxin was facing trial and death.
A fucking mess this was.
He had gained a lot of treasure from the raids but it was not enough.
He had to come out soon and fight. Damn with keeping his identity a secret.
He had a weapon. One that would rock the Queens's world. They had no idea the kind of nightmare coming for them.
Faith and alliances will be tested.
All the careful planning will come to fruition with HER help. And she will help him. The woman had no choice.
She was his to command.
It's time to give her a call.
Eager as always, she answered on the first ring.
"My love?"
"It's time for you to join me."
"Where?"
"New York."
"Oh. And will I..."
"Yes."
"Okay. I will pack my bags."
"Good."
He disconnected the call, not wanting to hear her irritating voice anymore.
He married her for a purpose and his purpose will soon be revealed.

Cries brought by painful cat o' nine leashes echoed in the darkness.
He was familiar with it and he shuddered from the memory.
His master had summoned him and it was not wise to keep him waiting.
The punishment was in order. Their prisoner had escaped once more. Not physically but his pure untainted spirit was powerful enough to have given help to the kings.
His unblemished white feathers alone could cure demon poisons.
The unknown mercenary bowed when he reached the death angel's vicinity. Cold and eerie. It was a place from a man's worst nightmare.
At the altar, surrounded with gigantic black weeping candles, was the king's throne. Before the magnificent one was his captive.
An angel. Bloody and battered. Dark, magical chains surrounded his limbs.
The servant averted his gaze and gulped nervously.
"You failed." A soft disembodied voice said.
"I'm sorry, my king. They had help." Again, his eyes went to their captive.
"Yes. He will be punished. But you will too if you keep on failing me." He trembled and he prostrated, showing complete obedience and surrender.
"How may I please you, my king." Whispering was the best thing to do, he didn't want to agitate his leader further.
"Plan an escape for my witch. And kill Rexin before the trial." -Fuck!- The dark witch was kept in an impenetrable fortress and he didn't know the exact location. "Fail me again and I will kill you and your race."
No! Not his children.
"I won't, my king." His voice trembled.
