Chapter 1049
Belinda snapped out of her thoughts, “Huh? Ellinor, what’s up?”
Ellinor replied, “I’m fine, no problems here, no need to keep watching over me and wasting your time. You can go about your business. Just drop by when you’re free.”
Belinda shook her head firmly, “No can do. I’ve already promised Theo that I would take good care of you here. I can’t go back on my word.”
Ellinor shook her head, “I’ll explain to Theo. There’s no need to do everything he says. He only thinks his work is important; it’s affecting your work by having you come and look after me. You don’t have to follow his plans to a T.”
Belinda didn’t seem troubled, “Ellinor, my work isn’t being affected; I’ve taken leave. Mr. Larios approved it and has already arranged for someone else to cover my work.”
Upon hearing this, Ellinor glanced at Chase. Chase had just said he had no idea Belinda was here, yet he approved her leave. How could he possibly not know the reason for her leave? He was talking out of his ass!
Ellinor sighed.
Belinda being here and watching Chase’s performance was undoubtedly a slap in her face…
“I’ve already arranged Belinda’s work since she wants to take care of you here. Don’t reject her kindness!” Chase had overheard their conversation and chimed in, grinning from ear to ear.
If his girlfriend weren’t present, Ellinor would want to slap Chase!
Anyone would feel uncomfortable with that. Belinda, though thirsty for love, was not without reason. She frowned, “Mr. Larios, if you want to take your girlfriend to a hotel to rest, why don’t you book it yourself online? It’s very convenient on the phone…”
