Marissa nodded. “As long as she’s alright. Ellinor is pregnant now, and it makes me so nervous. I’m afraid any stress might cause her to give birth prematurely. Sophia danced alone in her room to the elegant music.

Kevin nodded as he uncorked the wine. “Definitely! You seem to be in a great mood today. What happened?” 

Sophia stopped dancing. “Today, that woman, Ellinor, finally showed up!” 

Kevin paused in surprise as he poured the wine. “Wait, isn’t Ellinor your rival? Why are you so thrilled to see her?” 

Sophia smirked. “If she hadn’t shown up, she would have always been the one that Theo couldn’t let go of, and I could never replace her. Now that she’s here, her flaws will be exposed, and Theo will grow tired of her. I can feel it. Theo is starting to resent her already!” 

Kevin looked confused but passed the glass of wine to Sophia. “So you’re saying that you’re close to winning Mr. Blanchet’s heart?” 

Sophia took a sip of the wine. “No, it’s not that easy! To win Theo’s heart there’s still a long road ahead. Right now, he only sees me as a friend. It’s only when he’s completely fed up with Ellinor that he can make room for me in his heart. But it’s okay, I’m not in a hurry: I can wait.” 

Kevin felt a pang of sympathy for his master. “You’ve been pining for Mr. Blanchet for so many years. If you had confessed your feelings earlier, Ellinor wouldn’t have stood a chance! When he needed a woman to fake marry to appease his family, Mr. Blanchet came to you first.” 

Sophia dismissed him with a wave of her hand, “What do you know? Some things can’t be rushed. Remember Patricia? She confessed her feelings directly and even tried to use the fact that she saved Theo’s life to pressure him. But what happened? Theo still didn’t care about her!
