Chapter 1326

Sophia put on a surprised face and asked, “Do you have any proof? Without evidence, you can’t just accuse me! I just wanted to see Ellinor. Theo is long gone, and as his long-time friend, I wanted to see his woman and child.”

She even pretended to cry.

Balfour wasn’t swayed by her tears. He was in a hurry to see Ellinor and didn’t want to waste time on Sophia. “Enough. You’re not welcome here, and Ellinor doesn’t want to see you either.”

Sophia, seeing that Balfour didn’t give a damn about her feelings, shot back. “Mr. Howard, what’s your deal with Ellinor? What gives you the right to speak for her and prevent me from seeing her?”

Balfour replied coldly, “I have every right. As for my relationship with Ellinor, that’s none of your business, and I’m not going to tell you!”

With that, he stormed off into the water room.

He thought Sophia would follow him in and continue her rant, but she didn’t.

He quickly filled a jug with water and didn’t see Sophia in the hallway when he came out.

Without giving it a second thought, Balfour hurried back to Ellinor’s room.

But Ellinor was no longer in the bed; only the blanket was left.

Balfour’s pupils suddenly shrank. He dropped the jug and quickly called the hospital, demanding they seal off the exit and find Ellinor..

However, Ellinor had already left the hospital.

She was still in her hospital gown. Having left in such a hurry, she didn’t have time to change.

She hid at a crossroads far from the hospital, pulled out her cell phone, and was about to call Chase when a red sports car pulled up in front of her.

Ellinor was on alert. She was worried it was Balfour’s people trying to take her back, so she instinctively started backing away.

It wasn’t until the car’s window slowly rolled down and Sophia’s alluring face appeared that she realized it wasn’t Balfour’s people.

“Ellinor, get in. I’ll take you to Theo!”

Confirming it wasn’t Balfour’s people, Ellinor relaxed a bit. But she didn’t trust Sophia.

Sophia knew she was on guard, so she explained, “I know you probably want to call your friends Chase or Ida to pick you up, right? But they won’t take you. They’ll only send you back to the hospital.

They knew about Theo’s situation long ago, but like Balfour, they kept it from you. How could they possibly take you to Theo?”

Ellinor frowned slightly. “Why would you take me then?”
