Ellinor was about to bolt with Sophia in tow, but they didn’t even manage to take a step.
Sophia held her hand tight, refusing to run.
Frowning, Ellinor turned back and said urgently, “What are you doing? Run!”
But Sophia still held on to Ellinor, shaking her head.
“Ellinor, let’s not run. You’re pregnant, we’d never outrun them.”
Ellinor was at a loss for words. “So what do you suggest we do?”
While Ellinor was still surprised, Sophia led her out in front of the two men.
She feigned ignorance and said, “Sorry, we were just passing by. We didn’t mean to disturb you guys. We apologize if we caused any inconvenience. If there’s nothing else, we’ll leave you to your search.”
The chubby one blocked their way and looked them up and down. “Just passing by? You two ladies just happen to be passing by in the middle of the night?”

“We really had to use the bathroom and couldn’t find one on our way. So we came to this secluded place. We didn’t expect anyone to be here.” Ellinor replied for Sophia, but she kept her head down, avoiding eye contact with the men.

The fat man let out a mocking laugh when he heard this excuse.
