“You always find excuses for him.” Ellinor smirked sarcastically. “To me, concealing and deceiving are one and the same. And guess what? I asked him if he was hiding anything from me, and he said no.” 

Belinda sighed. “As a woman, I totally get how it feels to be deceived and kept in the dark by someone you trust and like. But don’t you think he’s a bit scared of you? He knows what happens when you get mad, so he’s afraid of telling you his secrets.” 

Ellinor laughed. “Scared of me? Have you seen him lose his cool?” 

Belinda shrugged. “Take today, for instance; he couldn’t care less about the Howard family. But because you’re here, he didn’t even dare to step in. He was afraid of ticking you off.” 

Ellinor fell silent. 

Belinda continued, “Also, his decision to marry Sophia was not because they’ve got a deep friendship or he’s got a crush on her. 

Sophia’s father is the top dog of Thaddeus International Corporation, a global business entity with a lot of clout. 

Due to some issues with the previous generation of the Blanchet family, Theo’s situation is quite unstable.
