Sophia was overjoyed. “Dad, your presence will surely sort out all these issues. Then, as a family, we can return to M State. I can finally start preparing for my wedding with Marcus!” 

“Sure, sweetie, just leave it to me!” 

After hanging up the call with her father, Sophia felt a wave of relief. 

Now that her father was personally dealing with the situation, no one would have the guts to act disloyal. 

At that moment, the door to the master bedroom in the hotel closed gently. Marcus, still in his wheelchair, turned around to find Adrian awake, standing behind him as his big eyes blinked curiously at him. 

“Sir, what were you sneakily watching?” 

The child’s eyes were filled with curiosity. 

Marcus held a finger to his lips and whispered, “From now on, whether we’re in public or private, you have to call me dad.” 

Adrian blinked. “Oh… Is that okay? I thought you didn’t like me calling you dad.” 

Marcus squinted. “Hm? Why would you think that?” 

Adrian pouted. “Because I’m not your biological son after all. I thought you wouldn’t be happy if another kid called you dad.” 

After looking at this kid, who was a spitting image of Tristan, albeit with a different demeanor and personality, Marcus knew he was also his child. 

Marcus reached out to gently ruffle Adrian’s hair. “I’m happy when you call me dad.” 

Adrian appeared surprised. “Really? You’re not annoyed with me?” 

Marcus pursed his lips. “Why would I be annoyed with you?” 

Adrian beamed and huddled closer to Marcus. “Dad! You don’t like that lady called Sophia, do you?” 

Caught off-guard by the child’s question, Marcus paused. “Why would you think that?” 

Adrian whispered, “Because you never smile when you see her. My mom says that when you like someone, you can’t help but smile when you see them, and you always want to look at them. But you never smile at Sophia, and you don’t seem to look at her much.” 

Marcus remained silent. He indeed didn’t have feelings for Sophia. 

Despite having no memories of anyone, he felt his heart flutter when he saw the young girl named Ellinor. 

Perhaps, as Balfour had suggested when he visited, Marcus had a deep connection and love for Ellinor.
