Adrian furrowed his brows. “Because I don’t think you’re my mom!” 

Sophia was momentarily taken aback. Her composure was beginning to falter. “You… you’re talking nonsense again! If I’m not your mort, then who is? Did you just spring out of a crack in the rocks?” 

Adrian, eyes large and indignant, retorted, “And what proof do you have that you’re my mom? I don’t think we look alike at all!” 

Sophia instinctively glanced at the man’s reaction, quickly adding, “Who says a child has to resemble their mom? There are many who don’t look like their mothers when they’re young, but grow to resemble them more and more as they get older.” 

Adrian, hands on his hips, declared, “Well, I just don’t believe you’re my mom! If you’re so sure, let’s go get a DNA test to see if we’re related.” 

Sophia was speechless. “You…” 

This child had his fun here, and now he wanted to take the opportunity to go back to his real mom, Ellinor?

He would never go back. She would make sure he’d never see his traitorous real mother ever again. 

Sophia knew that Adrian wasn’t her biological child, and neither was the real Tristan, but she didn’t fear the kids finding out. 

She feared Marcus discovering the truth. The thought of Marcus finding out about Ellinor and knowing that he had two more children, with Ellinor sent chills down her spine. 

If that happened, she would really lose Marcus unless she held onto his corpse. 

But she truly loved this man, so she didn’t want it to come to that. 

“You child, stop with the nonsense! We’re a happy family. Why bring up DNA testing and give outsiders something to laugh about?” Sophia feigned anger. 

But Adrian was not joking. He knew his real mom was Ellinor, so, of course, he wasn’t Sophia’s child. 

Now he suspected that even handsome Dad’s real son wasn’t Sophia’s. He was testing her. 

After seeing Sophia’s guilty reaction, Adrian felt like he was right. Sophia had never given birth to handsome Dad’s child. She had been deceiving handsome Dad, trying to trap him by her side.
