Ida squinted her eyes, fixing them on him with a sharp gaze. “You call me master, but you refuse to obey me?” 

Byran gently cupped Ida’s face. “Master, if I behave, can I remove your glasses?” 

Dealing with this kiddo had become quite the chore. She removed her gold-rimmed glasses. “As long as you behave, I’ll allow anything.” 

No sooner had she finished speaking had the ‘puppy’ lunged at her. 

At the dinner table, Ellinor was feeding the children and dealing with Bartlett’s flirtatious banter. 

Bartlett and the three children were easy to be mistaken for a family, which made Ellinor hope that Ida and Byran would come back soon. 

Instead, they were joined by Chase and Belinda. 

Chase and Belinda walked into the room side by side. They looked surprised to see Bartlett there. They gave him a nod as a greeting and sat next to Ellinor. 

Chase lightly pinched Baber’s face and asked, “Boss, where’s Ida? Didn’t she say she was having dinner with you?” 

“She just went to the restroom.” 

After understanding the situation, Chase picked up a new set of cutlery from the table and handed it to Belinda. “You didn’t eat much at home. Do you want to eat 

more?” 

Belinda looked uncomfortable. “I’m not hungry…” 

Ellinor watched this scene with interest and raised an eyebrow. “Chase, I heard from Ida that you were having dinner at your girlfriend’s house.” 

Chase smiled openly. “Yes. And now, I’ve brought my girlfriend to meet you, Boss.” 

Ellinor looked at Belinda curiously. “When did you two start dating?” 

Belinda was embarrassed and shy. “Ellinor, we…” 

She wasn’t even sure if she and Chase were officially dating. 

Chase, knowing her shyness, took over the conversation. “Today, she just agreed to be my girlfriend.” 

Ellinor looked at Chase and then at Belinda. 

In the past, she might have given some advice. She would have been worried that Chase would hurt Belinda. 

But now she didn’t feel qualified to judge other people’s relationships. 

After a moment of silence, she said sincerely, “Well, I hope you two will be happy together.” 

Belinda blushed, not knowing what to say. 

Chase replied with a smile. “We will.” 

Soon, Ida and Byran also returned.
