Ellinor leaned casually against the wall of the blood draw room, Tve always been in good health and I know my physical condition. I won’t have a big problem donating some blood fill just for it later, thanks for the concern, Mr. Howard* 

Her face, however, was a tad pale 

Balfour frowned a hint of sarcasm tugged at the corner of his mouth, “Ms Mendoza, you really don’t care much about your health” 

There was an irony in the words not caring much about your health coming out of his mouth 

Ellinor didn’t care about Balfour’s sarcasm, she said earnestly, “Mr. Howard, about the surgery, can I do it some other time while I’m no weakling? I just had blood drawn, probably not the best time for a surgery” 

Balfour looked at her, puzzled. “Ms Mendoza, You’re not gonna get what you want and then you’re gonna go back?” 

Ellinor shrugged, flashed a smile, “If you insist on the surgery now, I can try to roll with it, let’s go.” 

Seeing her pale face, Balfour felt a strange mix of emotions, pity, reluctance, and a bit of heartache… 

Why was he getting these feelings for a girl he didn’t even like? 

Balfour felt a little irked, he was silent for a moment, then waved it off, “Alright, let’s do it another day! You’ve got a point, Ms. Mendoza, you’re not feeling well today I’d bear some responsibility if anything goes wrong during the surgery! Let’s reschedule so I don’t end up in trouble” 

Ellinor forced a smile, “Thanks for understanding. Mr. Howard!” 

‘ll take off now” Balfour straightened his clothes, and then added, “Return to Greenhaven in three days, I’ll have someone contact you, find the best hospital, the best gynecologist to perform your surgery, to minimize the impact on your body and future fertility 

I hope, Ms Mendoza, you’ll cooperate with the operation and do not find any excuses.” 

Ellinor looked at him coldly. “You can count on it, Mr. Howard” 

Balfour turned around and left, his steps graceful, but his expression stone cold 

He didn’t give a damn about the life or death of the person he donated blood to, all he wanted was for the child in Ellinor’s belly to disappear forever, to fix a marriage problem for his sister Patricia
