“But you’re gonna tie the knot someday, right? You’ve gotta lock down someone from a well–off family, right? 

What if you get kicked out of their house because you’re too lazy to lift a finger or can’t handle domestic chores? Wouldn’t that be a slap in the face for the Blanchet family? 

So, I’ve put together a little leaming opportunity for you, starting with chores at home. I believe you can do it” 

“You…” Veronica was gritting her teeth, her face turning as green as spinach. “Ellinor, you’re such a sly fox! Hmph! No matter what you say, I’m not gonna do any 

housework!” 

Ellinor wasn’t fazed. “Well, that’s fine. But we don’t need another freeloader in this house. When your brother comes homme tonight, I have him take you back to your 

mom’s.” 

Ellinor knew this was Veronica’s weakness from what Theo said this morning when he was barking at her. 

Veronica’s biggest soft spot was the thought of leaving the Blanchet family’s home and going back to her mom’s. 

She wasn’t sure why, but that was all the ammo she needed. 

Veronica was on the verge of a meltdown and began shaking with rage. She pointed at Ellinor. “You…” 

Ellinor was grinning like a Cheshire cat. “So, are you gonna do it?” 

Veronica hated housework like the plague, but she was scared to death of being kicked out by Ellinor because Theo was head over heels for her and would do anything she said. 

Damn Ellinor, just you wait! There will be payback one day! 

Veronica gritted her teeth and gave in. “Fine, I’ll do it! It’s just some housework, right?” 

“Good, can’t wait to see it!” Ellinor flashed a smile, then turned to the housekeeper, Devin. “I’m gonna head out after lunch. As you heard, Ms. Blanchet has kindly volunteered to handle all the house chores. If anyone dares to help her, they’re basically giving up their job. I hope you can lead by example and keep an eye on 

her.” 

Devin was taken aback by Ellinor’s assertiveness. “Yes, ma’am!” 

Veronica was fuming and shooting daggers at Ellinor with her eyes. 

But Ellinor didn’t give a hoot. She strolled upstairs to change into her outfit for the outing. 

After lunch, she checked the time and saw there was still a while before Theo would be off work.
