“Luca they are going to the portal as soon as they get to St. Luc’s pier. We need to go now.” Luca informed his grandfather and as it was late evening Luna was crowned and they were sent off into the woods. As they were getting ready to leave, they were stopped short by a deafening noise that came from the village center. Luca‘s warriors pounced into defense mode. They began to transform and headed to the center of the village.
“We’ve been played. They’re already here. We will need spells or potions to protect the warriors from the spells. Damn it. We should have put off the wedding and handled her first.” Luna told Luca apologetically. I have to go to the forefront with my men. Get to the house. I already have potions ready. My warriors are prepared.” With that, he left Luna and charged toward the town’s center.
Luna was taken to her quarters by the female warriors. She was now queen and had to be protected. She entered her room and undressed. She put on some loose clothes and put her hair in a bun. Her mate and the warriors were out there protecting the people. A people who was now hers. She didn’t want to be that type of queen. One who hid in the confines of her room while her mate fought battles. She needed to be seen as a strong queen. One who could also fight. It was her aunt who was attacking them after all. She felt responsible.
Luna burst out of the room and headed to the center of the action. The guard woman tried to stop her. She immediately transformed into the great white wolf that she was. No one had ever seen her transform before except her uncle. Everyone stopped and got out of her way. She ran down the mountain to the town where the witches had emerged. When she got there Luca had left to chase her aunt while the warriors fought off the witches who had used werecats to attack them. Luna changed back to her human form and burned them all to a crisp leaving the werecats to the warriors who would handle them easily. Luna followed Luca’s scent and eventually came to find them in a large clearing in the woods.
“Lydia, why are you doing this? You practically raised me. You were my family. I loved you.” She told Lydia. “Yes, and what did I get in return, you had my daughter killed.”
“She tried to kill me, and She killed Luca’s father” Luna shouted. “Luna stop whining. Your mother was a half-witch, and she took everything from me. Always getting all the attention. I loved your father and she took him from me all because I didn’t have wolf blood. Well, she met her end, and I did have him until he started to suspect me. I had no choice but to kill him. And I will kill you too if you don’t stay out of my way, little bitch.”
