“Why didn’t you continue?”

Rowena’s body slithered up like a snake, usually Antonio would have pounced on her, but now he remained motionless like a statue.

A few seconds later, he suddenly fell straight down and vomited blood profusely.

Blood stained the large sheets, as Rowena let out a terrified scream, he struggled to stand up and stumbled towards the

garage.

Grace couldn’t have had an accident! He was going to go and find out himself!

He got on the car and saw the file bag that Grace had left for him still on the passenger seat.

Antonio’s internal organs were twisted together in pain, and he gasped heavily, as the pain seeped into his bloodstream with every breath, omnipresent.

How could he agree to let Grace fly the plane alone! Why didn’t he arrange a few experienced pilots to accompany her?

Why? Because human energy is limited, and he has been busy preparing for the twins‘ birthday recently, so he naturally doesn’t have the mind to pay attention to these trivial matters.

The search and rescue operation lasted for a full two days,

but the surrounding hundreds of miles of sea were searched, and no signs of any survivors were found.

The rescue team carefully chose their words, avoiding

upsetting Antonio, as everyone knew the depth of his feelings for Grace.

“Mr. Kaufman, if a plane crashed in the ocean, there was little chance for the passengers to survive, so Mrs. Kaufman may have already perished.”

Antonio couldn’t stop crying, and at this moment, he was completely weak and unable to stand on his own. He relied on the people around him to support him.

But upon hearing the words “perished,” he suddenly lunged forward, grabbing the rescuer by the collar, his eyes bloodshot as he shouted, “You’re talking nonsense! How dare you curse my wife! She didn’t die! She didn’t die! You’re not allowed to say that she’s dead!”

The assistant finally managed to pull him away.

Antonio stood in place for a while, and suddenly muttered, “Today… is our wedding anniversary. She said I should wait for her to come back.”

He had prepared a grand celebration, but now, the ceremony has turned into a funeral.

He did not stay at the crash site any longer, but came alone to the chapel. As he looked at the large wedding photo in the center, his tears welled up again. Just the thought of Grace’s plane crashing while he was fooling around with Rowena made him wish he could kill his past self.
