Chapter 1443 To Confront Xavier Later marks a crucial moment in Hollie Lee’s Fantasy novel, The Medallion. This chapter blends tension, emotion, and plot progression to deliver a memorable reading experience — one that keeps readers eagerly turning the page.
However, the sword wave's power heightened drastically as Rocky's defense collapsed within minutes. Just as it crashed, a streak of sword aura suddenly shot behind the broken stones. It pushed forward while ignoring the sword wave and charged directly towards Noelle.
Rocky's determination to defend himself and the will to keep fighting had shocked everyone else.
As Noelle hadn't predicted, Rocky protected himself and fought back regardless of the circumstances. There was utter disbelief on her face, and as she linked her fingers together, a streak of sword aura immediately rushed out like a thunderbolt. The two sword auras crashed into each other midair and sprang up abruptly in seconds.
The intense impact resulted in a thunderous sound.
After resisting for some time, both wisps of sword auras eventually counteracted.
However, the Dancing Sword also formed sword waves that kept going on ceaselessly, and Noelle believed that Rocky couldn't withstand its impact. Thus, she heaved a sigh of relief, waiting for Rocky to get down on his knees and accept defeat.
Suddenly, a ray of spiritual light emerged from out of thin air, directly hitting her chest. It even drove her several meters away.
She felt her body go numb despite a short landing.
Under the public's vigilant eyes, a figure suddenly popped up right before Noelle's Dancing Sword. Despite the steady discharge of the sound wave and sword aura, he hastily pulled the sword out as if nothing happened before making his way to its owner.
The person was none other than Rocky.
"You..." Noelle shook her head in disbelief. Even though she had used her most vital sword skill, it didn't harm Rocky at all. He even repelled the Dancing Sword's incredible impact without any problem.
Besides Noelle, everyone else who witnessed the incident also felt astounded by his power. At this point, none of them regarded Rocky's power as mere luck. The strength he had shown was quite unpredictable.
"Beauty, will you acknowledge your defeat?" Rocky asked with a smile, lifting his brows.
"That will not happen!" Noelle snorted coldly. She then unleashed her spiritual power to summon her Dancing Sword. She intended to retrieve the sword from Rocky's hand with force.
"Well, don't blame me!" Rocky said with a sinister grin. Under his command, the Dancing Sword he held darted toward Noelle and orbited her at once.
The spectators couldn't hide their shock because they knew that once a Spiritual Weapon like the Dancing Sword had already taken a spirit warrior as its master, no other spiritual warriors could manipulate it. Yet, to the surprise of the crowd, Rocky could easily control the Dancing Sword.
A tearing noise rang out of nowhere, and everyone heard a cry of shame a few seconds later.
Meanwhile, all of the Sword Spirit City's male disciples' eyes grew large after they glimpsed a corner of Noelle's dress had torn open, revealing her fair skin.
"What did you do? How despicable of you!" Noelle draped her hands over her body like a duck in a storm as she glared at Rocky. She knew staying longer would only embarrass her further, so she stretched her body and flew out of the competition ring at once.
Noelle's sudden exit took the audience by surprise. Because of the unexpected twist, Rocky had earned a spot in the final battle.
No one had anticipated this turn of events to happen even before the qualifying competition even began!
Ramon rolled his eyes at Rocky's smugness. Rocky's seemingly arrogant remark turned him off. However, among Sword Spirit City's Spirit Realm disciples, Rocky had the competence to stand out, and thus, he had bragging rights as well.
"Is there something that I can do for you?" Rocky proceeded to question him.
"Are you interested to know about Xavier's true power?" Ramon squinted upon asking.
"Can I say no to your question?" Rocky asked, still undecided.
"No. If you truly want to defeat Xavier, you must be aware of his strength. Here in Sword Spirit City, I'm the only one who knows his strength well. After all the times that I have fought with him, I have never won a single battle," Ramon said with much animosity.
"Well, why don't you start telling me then? What's so special about him?" Rocky answered after a moment's hesitation.
"To start, we have the same level of strength. But Xavier's edge is his brutality. He always fought with his full strength. Before coming here to Sword Spirit City, he cultivated a unique body technique in his original clan. Such a method could give a spirit warrior's strength further boost and even drive his potential to its utmost capacity. His incredible power, coupled with his potential, should be imaginable! This is why I haven't succeeded in defeating him in our many confrontations." Ramon immediately recounted to Rocky all of his accumulated encounters with Xavier. While he hoped to defeat him, he didn't stand a chance now, so all he could do was look forward to Rocky's performance.
"I get it now." Rocky couldn't deny the fact that Ramon's suggestion was not a complete waste of time. At least, he was now aware of his opponent' covert abilities.
"This makes it almost impossible for you to win against Xavier in the competition tomorrow. Instead, it would even allow Xavier to get even with you." Ramon's tone suddenly grew serious.
"I'm confident that I can defeat him. But I don't know if I'm going to expose myself. After all, it will be hard for me to explain later once I have shown my real power." This was Rocky's biggest concern at the moment.
