What Happens in Chapter 1492 Treating Ramon – From the Book The Medallion

Dive into Chapter 1492 Treating Ramon, a pivotal chapter in The Medallion, written by Hollie Lee. This section features emotional turning points, key character decisions, and the kind of storytelling that defines great Fantasy fiction.

After suffering severe injuries, Ramon got urgently sent to the Medical Service Hall for treatment.

When Rocky arrived to check on him, he found that Lloyd was in the process of healing the wounds that Ramon had sustained from the fight. With a worried look on her delicate face, Hannah stood beside them.

She watched Lloyd tend Ramon, who was covered in blood. He was lying on the healing table in a daze, with his skin cut open and his flesh torn.

“Doctor Lloyd, how is he?” Rocky broke the silence.

“As of now, it’s hard to say. At least three of his major meridian vessels have been damaged. Even if he gets cured, I’m afraid his strength will decline. It might even affect his cultivation in the future,” Lloyd explained in a serious tone as he shook his head.

“Oh, my. This is all my fault. I must have put too much pressure on him. He probably thought he’d rather take a hard slap than admit defeat.” Hearing what the doctor said, Hannah couldn’t keep herself from feeling guilty.

“Miss Hannah, it was his own decision. He chose to fight despite knowing the consequences, so you shouldn’t blame yourself.” Rocky tried to comfort her in a soft and calm voice. He then turned to Lloyd and asked, “Does he have any other serious injuries?”

“Well, that’s as serious as it can get. Those three meridians that have been damaged are crucial to a spirit warrior. It’s quite conspicuous that his opponent deliberately aimed at this point. It seems that it’s been done on purpose…” Lloyd trailed off and sighed in pity.

“Why must the Grand Sky Sect be so hateful?!” Hannah felt anger surge in her heart.

“Hmm. I don’t think we have to worry that much. If it’s just his meridians that have been injured…” Rocky stopped talking and quickly brought out a bottle of magical saliva. He handed it to Lloyd and began to explain what it was for.

“This miracle liquid right here can heal those meridians and can even speed up the recovery of his body. Doctor Lloyd, please try to give this to Ramon. I’ll leave him in your care,” Rocky urged with a sincere expression.

Lloyd took the magical saliva from Rocky. Although he didn’t say a word, his eyebrows got pushed together, obviously intrigued as he shifted his glance from Rocky to the bottle he held in his hand. Since Rocky requested it, Lloyd gave Ramon a drop of the magical saliva. He was certain that Ramon was awfully ill, so he was unsure what it would do for his patient and just watched what would happen next. Much to his surprise, as Ramon took the liquid, his pallid complexion immediately got flushed with color as he woke up.

“It worked! Wow, this miracle liquid is so effective.” Lloyd couldn’t help but exclaim in joy. Apparently, he had already exhausted his resources and used various kinds of elixirs to wake Ramon up but to no avail. Now, seeing that a tiny drop of the magical saliva worked on him, he naturally realized its remarkable effect, given his experience.

The second Ramon woke up, his eyes fell directly on Rocky. He tried to raise his hand to reach for him as though he wanted to say something, but he was still too incapacitated to utter a word.

Rocky stepped forward straight away, held Ramon’s hand, and assured him, “Don’t worry, okay? I will definitely avenge you!”

“No… Don’t… do... that… I’m afraid not even you can defeat him…” Despite struggling hard, Ramon managed to shake his head in reluctance as he replied to Rocky’s declaration.

“Not a problem. I know just how strong he is. He’s not a match for me,” Rocky responded with conviction.

“No, it’s… It’s… not his strength that you should… focus… on… His spiritual power… isn’t… ordinary… He only gets… stronger… whenever he gets injured. He seems to be… cultivating... the demonic spiritual power!” Trying to speak so he could give Rocky some reminders, Ramon gasped for air every chance he got.

“I see. Just stay here so you can heal and recover quickly.” Rocky nodded at Ramon and then turned to Hannah. “Miss Hannah, I should get going. I’ll leave him to you.”

“Please be careful! You can’t afford to offend Knox, let alone the Grand Sky Sect. If you take your revenge in that competition, people will surely gossip about you,” Hannah stressed. She thought that the reason why Rocky wanted to defend Ramon was due to the fact that Knox badly injured him.

“It’ll be all right, Miss Hannah. I will seek justice for Ramon, fair and square!” Rocky had a straight face on when he spoke, but his words were full of indescribable courage, rendering Hannah unable to reply.

He then turned to the other direction and left the Medical Service Hall.

“That guy really is something, huh?” Watching Rocky walk away, Lloyd couldn’t help but admire him.

Outside, Rocky saw Timothy coming to him. If truth be told, he was actually here for Rocky.

“How is Ramon? Has he woken up?” Timothy asked right away.

“Father, will Knox marry Hannah if he wins?” Benedict’s big-bellied son, who was eating chicken drumsticks, asked in curiosity.

“Yes, he will. Can you stop eating? You know nothing but eat all day long!” Looking at his disappointing son, Benedict fumed. If only his son could be more talented, he wouldn’t have to go through all the trouble of asking Knox to fight for their sect.

Actually, Knox was once a disciple of the Grand Sky Sect before Benedict had given him to the Sovereign Pavilion as a gift two years ago. This time, he had to borrow him back, so he offered the Sovereign Pavilion quite a lot of benefits in return. If Knox failed to win this competition, Benedict would suffer a heavy loss. From his current point of view, however, his plan was foolproof. On top of that, his opponent was nothing but an upstart. Even if he wasn’t so weak, Benedict was certain that the small fry was not a match for Knox.

Therefore, he felt that the Sword Spirit Sect wouldn't slip through his fingers this time.

Just as Benedict was racking his brains, Timothy returned and sat among the crowd of the Sword Spirit Sect.

"Leader, how’s Ramon?" Harrison promptly inquired.

“He’s woken up, but he is severely injured. Doctor Lloyd is trying his best to treat him,” Timothy replied simply.

“That’s good to hear. Anyway, I could’ve gone there to check on him instead.” Harrison felt it was strange that their sect leader took the time to go to the Medical Service Hall. After all, even though Ramon was someone significant, it was unnecessary for their sect leader to visit him in person.

Of course, he didn’t know that it wasn’t Ramon whom Timothy was going to meet, but Rocky.

“That’s all right. Besides, Ramon is fighting for our sect. It’s the least I can do. If anything happens to him, I will also feel guilty,” Timothy responded with a logical reason.

“In spite of that, leader, I’m afraid that the Grand Sky Sect will get what they want since we have lost Ramon. If Knox wins this match, will you really let Miss Hannah marry him?” Harrison asked hesitantly.

“I have other plans. There’s no way I will let the Grand Sky Sect succeed,” Timothy proclaimed firmly.
