When Rocky and Shirley arrived at the clothing store she mentioned, he was pleasantly surprised to find that it looked rather decent. Beautiful girls wearing all kinds of colorful robes welcomed guests by the entrance, simultaneously showing off what their shop had to offer.
As soon as the two entered the clothing store, a charming woman walked up to them and warmly greeted them. "Well, if it isn't Shirley! It's been a while."
"Hi, Dora!" Shirley greeted her with a big smile.
"And who is this gentleman?" Dora shifted her gaze immediately to the young man standing next to Shirley. Her eyes shone with interest; she could tell Rocky was no ordinary person.
"He is my friend," Shirley replied casually.
"Friend? I highly doubt that. I think he is your boyfriend," Dora teased.
"Stop it!" Shirley shot her a reproachful look, but her face turned red at the same time.
"Anyway, you came at the right time today. There are some new arrivals. Do you want to have a look at them?" Dora changed the subject.
"Maybe later. Right now, we need two sets of decent clothing for the exchange meeting at the Spiritual Beast Palace. Please find some for him first," Shirley said as she pointed at Rocky.
"Oh, I see! No problem. Leave it to me." As soon as Dora finished speaking, she quickly assessed Rocky's height and figure. Then she abruptly turned around and waddled off in search of the perfect suit.
It didn't take long before Dora came waddling back, a set of dark blue clothes in tow. "These should be more than suitable for this gentleman. A young man ordered them not long ago, but then he later thought the color didn't suit him, so he gave them back. If you don't mind, please try them on."
"I don't mind," Rocky said with a gracious smile.
"Then, by all means, try them on!" Dora then instructed a girl to accompany Rocky to the changing room.
When Rocky was gone and safely out of earshot, Dora's cheery expression immediately darkened. "Shirley, your last assassination mission failed because of him, right?" she whispered. Dora was apparently also a member of the organization. Not only that, she was the one responsible for collecting information about the Sky-suppressing Mansion in the Sky-suppressing City.
"Yes," Shirley replied honestly.
"You're too reckless! If our chief didn't stand up for you, you would have suffered a lot. We have rules, you know." Dora's eyes flashed viciously. "So, who on earth is he?"
"Dora, you guessed it right. He's my boyfriend," Shirley replied nonchalantly.
"Is he really your boyfriend? I was just kidding." Dora gasped, evidently taken aback.
"Don't ask so many questions." Shirley waved her hand dismissively. "By the way, is there any more useful information about Ishaan? Please tell me!"
"That's all the information I had on him. Ishaan is from the Sky-suppressing Mansion, but you already know this. I don't know what you plan to do, but don't you dare act recklessly! You can't risk exposing your identity, or else, it'd be troublesome for the organization," Dora warned her gravely.
"Don't worry. This is all personal and has nothing to do with the organization." Shirley paused hesitantly, then said in a pleading tone, "But we may need some help getting into the Spiritual Beast Palace to participate in the exchange meeting. Could you please help us?"
However, most of the guests were eager to see the beast halls first, where the spiritual beasts were kept on display.
The Spiritual Beast Palace had a total of three beast halls which were further subdivided into ten to twenty beast rooms. The beast rooms served as a private quarters to raise its designated spiritual beast, each of which was so magnificently luxurious, one would've thought a rich noble lived there. It was obvious that Ishaan spent a fortune raising spiritual beasts.
But to everyone present, it made sense, since Ishaan's collection of spiritual beasts were not ordinary—they were invaluable.
Rocky and Shirley also made their way around the three beast halls to check out Ishaan's collection.
"All of his spiritual beasts are quite good, even the worst ones are as strong as a Spiritual Infant at the first grade. Moreover, most of these beasts are as strong as a Spiritual Infant at the third grade. The Purple-flaming Phoenix might be a great spiritual beast, but it is not that eye-catching in this place!" Obviously, Rocky had underestimated the quality of the spiritual beasts in Ishaan's collection. Now, upon assessing the strength of the spiritual beasts, he immediately felt that the Purple-flaming Phoenix alone wouldn't be enough to attract Ishaan's attention.
"Don't you have a legendary beast?" Shirley's eyes lit up.
"Glutton? I sent it to look for Marcia and the others." Rocky shook his head remorsefully.
"What? What should we do now?" Shirley frowned in disappointment.
"I think Kohen will do, but it's still a cub. Without a very professional beast evaluator, they might not be able to see its potential," Rocky said after thinking about it for a while.
"Now that we're here, we might as well give it a shot. There happens to be a special beast evaluation taking place here today. It's said that if anyone brings a spiritual beast of high quality, Ishaan will personally show up," Shirley said.
