"What did you mean you can change her?" Michael asked one the doctor was out of the room. I sighed, giving Lilith control. She used my mouth to speak.
"We can change her. She would become a supernatural. If she is strong enough... if not..." Lilith trailed off.
"Then she would die." Brian stated emotionless. "But this is a chance she could live?"
I took back control from Lilith.
"It is, but Brian, it may not work. She has to be strong enough to withstand the change. It's dangerous, not to mention a huge secret." I explained. I wanted this to work but Brie was weak. There was a heavy silent pause before anyone spoke.
"Do it. The doctor says she won't live. If this is a chance she may, then do it. I can't live without her." Brian stated, trying to wipe the tears from his face but he kept producing more. I looked to Michael.
"I have faith in you." Was all michael said with a sad but reassuring smile.
I sighed. I was nervous. Annalise had explained in depth how to do it. It was not a nice process and it would be painful for Brie . I only hoped that the wolf granted to her was strong, she was going to need it.
I slowly walked to Brie, I sat on the edge of her bad and carefully picked up her hand. Both Michael and Brian watched me intently. I said a silent prayer before biting into Brie's wrist. Her body jolted. Together, Lilith and I breathed into the wound, feeling the hum of magic in my breath. Her body stiffened and the monitors went wild. I stood up and hugged Michael, silent tears falling down my face. All we could do now was wait.
Two days passed, I spent most of my time training but visited Brie whenever I got the chance. She was spiking a fever now. This was a pivotal time, her body would soon either give up or accept the change.
Hours passed and the fever hadn't broken. Brian was a mess. I was also worried. As I was preparing to leave to go to bed, Brie let out a sigh. Her fever had broken. Brian and I rushed over to her. Her eyes shot open. I gasped to see bright blue eyes, exactly like mine staring back at me!
I was sitting in Michael's office, going over the battle plans when Amy and her mother walked in. Amy seemed excited but her mother was very straight faced.
"Miss Noel, we think we have an idea of how to make the journey to Jackson's territory much more simple." Alexandria stated, emotionless. But now I understood why Amy was excited.
"Noel! We realized we could teleport everyone. We could send everyone to a safe distance from Jackson's! Then we wouldn't have to walk that awful distance!" Amy all but shouted in excitement.
"I didn't know such a spell existed though, and what of the energy it would take to cast it?" I questioned. I liked this idea in theory but didn't know if it would work.
"There is a spell. Lost to most but I'm certain the council witches know of it." Alexandria stated, she was trying to stay emotionless but I saw a little glimmer of excitement in her eyes. Performing this magnitude of a spell would definitely be something amazing to see.
