This was a dress she had spent a fortune on, commissioning a private designer to create it, and it had taken three months to finish. 

Since she received it, she had never worn it, fearing she might damage it. Now, seeing Emily so eager to wear it made Hazel feel a pang of regret. However, she needed Emily to help her with her plans, so she gritted her teeth and offered the gown to her. 

“If you love it, of course you can wear it,” Hazel replied, forcing a smile. 

She led Emily to the dress, carefully taking it off the hanger and handing it to her. “You’ve got great taste, Emily. This gown was designed by a famous designer just for me. When you put it on, you’ll be the most stunning one at the party tonight.” 

Emily, feeling a bit troubled by this compliment, asked, “But what if I end up stealing the spotlight from you?” 

Emily may not be ugly, but compared to me? She doesn’t even come close. How could she possibly think 

she could outshine me?

Hazel quickly masked her disdain and replied, “Oh, come on, Emily! You’re so beautiful; if you steal the show, so be it! Gorgeous girls are meant to be admired. Now, let me help you into this dress.” 

Feeling a bit shy about someone else seeing her body, Emily hesitated. “Hazel, can I put it on myself?” 

Hazel thought for a moment and nodded. “Sure, but just be careful.” 

“Okay.” 

After Hazel left, Emily found herself alone in the dressing room. She quickly changed out of her clothes and into the gown. The moment she slipped into the million–dollar dress, she felt like a princess. 

With her elegant demeanor, she thought she truly deserved to be a princess. 

Only a princess deserved to embody such elegance. Wearing the dress, Emily took out her
