Chapter 280 What's Your Name
"Of course, we came to visit you, Grandpa. You seem to be taking it easy lately, just fishing all day at home."
John smiled and replied, "Well, now that the poison in your body has been neutralized and you're back on your feet, I don't need to keep running all over the world looking for doctors. Plus, now that you're married, I try not to intrude on your time with Sam. Fishing at home has been quite relaxing for me."
Finley and Samantha sat down beside John and watched the fish in the pond.
Finley chuckled. "Since you're already fishing, how about we have fish for dinner tonight?"
"No problem. Watch me reel one in for you right now," John said excitedly.
He then cast his fishing line. Soon enough, a fish bit the hook.
After reeling it in and tossing it into a bucket, he was about to call a servant to prepare it when Samantha interjected, "Grandpa, have you ever tasted my cooking? How about I prepare dinner for you tonight?"
"That would be wonderful, but are you sure it won't be too much trouble?"
Samantha shook her head. "Not at all, Grandpa. I'm pretty good at making home-cooked meals."
"Then, I'll have Finley help you."
"It's fine. I can handle everything. Finley should stay here and keep you company while you fish."
After giving her instructions, Samantha carried the bucket of fish inside.
Just as she entered the house, a man and woman walked in from the entrance. The servants greeted them respectfully, "Mr. Dean, Mrs. Dean."
While she was sizing up Jacob and Stella, they were doing the same to her.
Immediately captivated by Samantha's beauty, Jacob flashed a sleazy grin. "The new maid Dad hired is quite pretty, isn't she?"
He leered at her and asked, "What's your name?"
Samantha ignored him completely as she walked straight into the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Jacob's mood soured after being snubbed by Samantha. He was about to follow her when Stella grabbed him by the arm. "You old fool! Wipe that perverted look off your face. Don't forget why we're here today."
Reminded of their real purpose, Jacob dropped the idea of bothering Samantha and instructed Stella, "Go and cook for Dad. I'll go find him in the backyard."
