The fully equipped special forces secured the perimeter the moment they showed up. Every one of them was armed with submachine gun. They had their muzzles aimed at Odysseus and the bunch of pirates.
Odysseus and his injured bunch of underlings were utterly dumbfounded by the presence of the armed forces.
Usually, the policemen would be the ones who would go after them. Odysseus was shocked because the military had shown up instead. Judging by the emblem they had on their uniform, it seemed like they were the Dragonfury Special Forces.
The sight of the emblem made Odysseus realize that something was wrong. He had an ominous premonition about what would be in store forthem.
Just then, a man who was dressed in the uniform of a lieutenant colonel marched in.
He had a few officers by his side. They rushed over to Nathan and Colin's side immediately and saluted Nathan respectfully.
"Sir, my name is Mark. I'm the Deputy Commander of Dragonfury Special Forces affiliated with the North Army. I have brought along two thousand elites with me, and we have secured the perimeter of Blackwood resort. Awaiting your next order, sir!"
The Dragonfury Special Forces? Don't tell me he's the General of the North?
The moment Odysseus heard the title of Mark and the way he addressed Nathan, his face turned pale and haggard.
Similarly, his heart sank to the bottom of his stomach as he regretted his action.
Finally, he realized the reason why Nathan could get rid of those from Gehenna easily. He was the General of the North. It must have been a piece of cake for him to take Elijah out.
Obviously, Tristan, who was merely a retired rear admiral, wouldn't be a match for Nathan, the General of the North either.
Realization dawned on Odysseus that Nathan wasn't joking when he said he could command the naval forces to take the pirates of Demon's Lair into custody.
He could finally made sense of Nathan's warning. In fact, he was indeed in a world of trouble, just as Nathan had warned him about a few minutes ago.
It turned out Nathan was the nation's God of War. He was none other than the renowned General of the North. It was only natural that he had been so arrogant in front of them.
Oh, God! What sort of big shot have I offended!
At that moment, Odysseus felt he would be better off dead.
Currently, Odysseus held a strong grudge against Tristan because he was the reason behind the misfortune that would soon befall him.
If Tristan hadn't got in touch with him and demanded a favor from him, he would never have picked on Nathan in the first place.
As of now, Nathan had yet to deliver his instruction to the Dragonfury Special Forces because he hadn't decide on the next best course of action.
Odysseus shuddered upon hearing that. He snapped himself back to reality and wriggled over to Nathan's front. He bowed and begged for mercy, "Sir, please forgive me. I will turn myself in and surrender. Please give me another chance to turn over a new leaf! I'm willing to bear the consequences of my actions. I don't mind spending a few years behind bars. Please give me another chance!"
Nathan scoffed, "Oh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that you wouldn't show mercy to anyone else when you rob the freights. Some told me that women were the only ones that would be taken into custody alive. Did you give those innocent merchants another chance? It seems like you didn't show them any mercy as well, right?"
As soon as Odysseus heard Nathan's reply, his limbs turned rigid because he knew what Nathan was up to in his mind. He could foresee the future that was awaiting him.
Nathan beckoned and instructed, "Take them into custody immediately! Hand them over to the juridical department. I want them to atone for the sins they have committed.”
"Yes, sir!"
Soon, the special forces took Odysseus into custody. They brought them out of the resort in an orderly manner.
By then, countless reporters had already gathered outside of the resort.
They put their cameras to work as soon as they detected the presence of Odysseus and the pirates. Naturally, this particular incident would make it to the nation's headline soon.
