In a funeral house in Brimmopolis.
A tall and handsome man stood up straight as he stared at his baby brother's corpse.
That corpse was Gary Jordan's.
The tall man was Lucius, the eldest grandson of the Jordan family.
Lucius was extraordinarily strong and had always kept to himself. He never saw anyone as an equal, so he was never close to his siblings.
The only exception was with his baby brother, Gary.
There were two incidents that brought them close.
The first was when Lucius broke their grandpa's favorite antique vase when he was a kid. Old Master Jordan was furious when he asked who did it.
Lucius was too scared to admit it, and Gary admitted to the crime even though he knew his brother did it.
In the end, Old Master Jordan hit Gary so much that he couldn't get out of bed.
The second incident happened when the two siblings went on a camping vacation. Lucius was bitten by a venomous snake, and Gary was the only one around.
Gary was only a teen at the time, and he cried as he carried Lucius for miles. That saved Lucius' life.
After that incident, he became extremely nice and sweet to his baby brother.
At that moment, Lucius' eyes shone with a complex emotion as he stared at his baby brother's body. Makino and the other subordinates stood behind him fearfully.
He stood there for a few moments before he pried his sorrowful gaze away and turned to Makino and the others. Lucius spoke slowly, "I'm not sure how to describe what I feel, but it is probably anger. Makino, I'm curious. Did you tell Nathan that Gary is my brother and a member of
our family?"
Makino had his head down as he replied softly, Tve told him, but he still wouldn't let Gary go. Instead, he killed Gary and Hagrid right in front of me."
Nathan Cross was disrespectful toward the Jordan family!
Lucius' eyes shone with murderous anger.
That was when he heard footsteps from the corridor outside the morgue. He could also somewhat make out a conversation.
Their expressions took a turn, and their eyes shone with fear.
That was when Lucius fished a sharp dagger out of his sleeve and swung it around.
The sharp blade slit both make-up artists' throat.
Their eyes bulged as their hands flew to their throats. Crimson red blood oozed from the gap between their fingers, and they fell simultaneously. They died soon after.
Lucius instructed nonchalantly, "Find two other make-up artists to do the job."
"Understood!"
Lucius then said, "If I remember correctly, Nathan Cross is on vacation in the South, isn't he?"
"He is, sir."
Lucius narrowed his eyes. "I have always wanted to meet him, but I never had the chance. This is an opportunity, and I want to fight against him. I will let him know who is the real deal!"
