Meanwhile, Nathan and Penny were having a great time at the Sky View Villa's hot springs in Brimmopolis.
Penny was three months pregnant and had a baby bump. The bump was so visible that Nathan could not stop staring at her belly.
Penny's cheeks blushed almost instantly. She tried to divert his attention. “I came over here to visit you because I heard you're in trouble.”
“I guess it's time for me to return to Channing soon. Otherwise, Queenie's going to be mad at me. There are also some business matters I have to take care of when I get back.”
Nathan smiled. All right. I'll arrange a private jet to send you back.”
Penny asked, “How about you?”
Nathan responded with a grin. “I'll probably go back in a few more days.”
“The Cabinet will call for an important meeting tomorrow, and the President would nominate me to be a part of the Cabinet. I have to stay and wait for the announcement.”
Penny was thrilled to hear that. “So, you're going to be a part of the Cabinet?”
Nathan said calmly, “Mr. Windsor's tenure as the President is ending soon, and he needs someone to take care of the Cabinet.”
“He thought I am the right candidate and hope that I could learn a thing or two in the Cabinet,” he explained.
Nathan continued, “But since I'm still very young and was previously appointed as the General of the North, Mr. Windsor is afraid that the other Cabinet members might object this appointment. So, I guess we shall wait and see.”
Before Hansel could step down as the President, of course, he would want to appoint his own man in the Cabinet.
To him, Nathan was the best candidate.
Yet, he believed that the existing Cabinet members, especially Mr. Davier, would strongly object to the idea.
This was why Nathan was not sure if he was going to make it into the Cabinet.
A few of the Elite Eight reported, “Sir, a man barged into the room, and he said he wants to compete with you. Colin and the others are stopping him from coming in.”
Colin and the other members of the Elite Eight have to work together to stop the man from entering?
Nathan could not believe what he heard.
Everyone in Elite Eight had attained the King Of Warriors status. Colin was even the Ultimate King of Warrior.
Even skillful warriors were no match for the Elite Eight, let alone Colin.
“How many attackers are there, though?”
The person standing outside the door said, “Only one. He's probably in his forties. He's well-built and looks steady. Colin and the other seven members are having a hard time stopping him.”
What? There's only one man, yet Colin and seven members of the Elite Eight could hardly take him down?
