The following week, all was well in the North. It seemed like Xyperia had admitted defeat.
Nathan had just ended a phone call with Penny in his office that day.
Suddenly, Colin came in quickly and respectfully handed over a document to him, “General, Brimmopolis sent a notification document.”
A notice from Brimmopolis?
Nathan curiously tore it open and read it.
It turned out that the voting round for the next presidential candidate would be held soon, and this notice from Brimmopolis was to inform him to return for the conference.
The conference would last for a month, and a new president would be elected within a month.
Colin curiously asked, “General, what is it about?”
Nathan replied, “They want me to return for the presidential election conference that will be held soon.
Colin smiled. “It looks like you'll be staying in Brimmopolis for a while.”
Nathan grinned. “Yeah.”
On that same day, Nathan ordered Fang to temporarily take charge of the North Army and defend the Northern territory.
Then he took Colin and Elite Eight on Sky One and flew to Brimmopolis.
When they reached their destination, Nathan first went to the White House to visit his teacher, President Windsor, and his wife, First Lady Camilla.
However, Hansel wasn't there, and it was Camilla who welcomed him.
Since the President was too busy during this period, he had been setting out early and returning late.
After chatting with him for a while, Camilla warmly welcomed him to stay at the White House for the time being since guest rooms were available.
However, Nathan declined politely, “Madam, it will be inappropriate for me to stay at the White House, it will be best if I stay at Red Hotel appointed by the conference members.”
Camilla smiled. “Alright. Come over for a chat
whenever you have time.”
Nathan replied, “Yes, Madam.”
After visiting the White House, he headed to the Red Hotel.
He felt her hand dropping toward his face and was about to give his opponent a quick, fatal blow.
However, before he could attack, he detected a familiar scent from her.
He froze at once, his eyes wide-open.
Sure enough, it was his gorgeous wife, Penny.
She was taken aback by his behavior and complained, “Aren't you sleeping? Why did you suddenly wave your hand and open your eyes? You scared me to death.”
He looked utterly nonplussed. “Honey, why are you here?”
Penny beamed and answered, “You know that I am one of the top ten model workers in the country. As one of the labor representatives, I'll participate in the presidential election to cast my sacred vote. After I arrived, I learned that you're also here. So I came to you at once.”
Nathan chuckled when he heard this. Who else could've passed through Colin and Elite Eight? I should've realized sooner that it's Penny.
His arms were wide opened, and he carried Penny suddenly. She exclaimed, “Hubby, what are you doing?”
He smiled. “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”
Penny blushed instantly. “It's still daytime...” Before she could finish, he kissed her and cut off her words...
