Clifford was both shocked and furious by Jothan's words.
I knew it. How could a random guy who had appeared out of nowhere to be so powerful? It seems like President Woods was the one behind everything!
Clifford smiled coldly as he thought.
Once again, Garrett complimented the Chief Military Governor in front of everyone. Then, he walked toward Clifford and queried. “Mr. Davier and everyone in the Great Cabinet, I supposed there are no more objections?”
Clifford smiled and said, “Chief Military Governor has shown us his excellent skills of combating power. Personally, I would like to pick someone in my mind to challenge him.”
Garrett knitted his brows slightly.
Linus, who was standing beside Garrett, expressed his displeasure, “What do you mean? Are you suspecting that those generals lost on purpose?
Clifford smiled, “That's what you said, Mr. Yoda. I didn't say anything.”
Jothan voiced, “Mr. Yoda, since Chief Military Governor was relying on his own strength to win the battle, plus, those generals didn't lose on purpose, then shouldn't he be fearless with another battle? Why are you worried?”
Linus answered in anger, “I'm not worried at all. It's just that both of you obviously don't trust President Woods and the other generals.”
Garrett said slowly, “Well, since Mr. Davier and members of the Great Cabinet are still in doubts,
I'll let Mr. Davier appoint someone strong to challenge the Chief Military Governor.”
Upon hearing that, an unnoticeable smirk flashed across Clifford's face.
He cupped his hands and said, “Hail to President Woods!”
Right after saying that, he glanced through those formidable bodyguards around him. Finally, his gaze landed on an old man in his fifties.
“Hunter, show us what you got.”
Hunter Mitchell was Clifford's bodyguard. He was prominent in Eurasia twenty years ago.
However, ever since he became Clifford's bodyguard, he had been toning down a lot. Besides, he is a low-key person. Hence, nobody would notice that he was actually a skillful fighter.
Clifford reminded everyone of Hunter Mitchell when the former appointed him to challenge Nathan.
Hunter was tall and burly, his gazes were deep yet sharp, carrying a powerful yet composed aura. He didn't seem to age at all.
He replied in a deep voice, “Yes, Mr. Davier!”
Clifford patted him on the shoulder and spoke in a whisper. “Show no mercy. It would be better to kill him.”
Hunter remained silent. After that, he immediately walked towards the martial arts field.
“Chief Military Governor, I am Hunter. Hope we
have a good fight.”
Nathan responded coolly, “Come!”
Hunter did not hesitate. In an instant, he slid swiftly and rushed towards Nathan. He threw out a forceful punch straight to Nathan's chest.
Hunter's expression changed abruptly as he let out a horrible yell. He crossed his arms, trying to block his kick.
Bam!
Nathan raised his legs and landed a kick on him!
He kicked right on Hunter's crossed arms.
Nathan's kick was as heavy as a mountain to him.
Crack! Crack!
The bones in both his arms crushed in an instant!
Hunter kneeled heavily on the ground. Even the tiles began to crumble, along with the bones of his knees.
“Ah!”
Hunter kneeled on the floor with his broken arms and legs, yelling miserably in agony.
Nathan stood in front of him and peered downward, like a king.
Everyone could barely believe their eyes.
Who would dare to say that Chief Military Governor was not strong enough to win the battle?
