“Kill him!”

More and more soldiers of the Demon Troopers began encircling Nathan like swarms of bugs, brandishing their swords.

In the flicker of an eyelid, Nathan dashed through the crowd of tens of Demon Troopers smoothly, with a glint in his eyes.

As he flashed past them, gory blood stains and cuts appeared on the necks of the soldiers. They seemed to have freeze momentarily before falling to the ground one after the other.

It was only then that Apocalypse and the other Demon Troopers realized that Nathan was armed with a sharp dagger.

It was a small but sleek dagger that resembled a deadly shard of ice as white as snow.

The dagger was called the Snowsphere, a present gifted to him by the former President. It was the perfect relic for him, the God of War.

In the distance, Colin and the Elite Eight were still wrestling with the Demon Troopers with all their might.

Standing alongside his subordinates armed with mere swords, Apocalypse locked gazes with Nathan and said, “Nathan Cross. I do admire your courage. Even when we have outnumbered and surrounded you, you managed to find a chance to shake us off and even made an ambush! I'm surprised that you didn't just run

I" away!

“Runaway? Who do you think you are? Why would I run from a rat like you?” Nathan scoffed, his expression icy-cold.

Having regained much of his composure, Apocalypse laughed, “Hmph. You can't wait to die, huh? I'll give you what you want!”

Eyeing his Demon Troopers, he bellowed, “My brothers! Here's one billion right before your eyes! This might be the only chance for you to earn a billion in your lifetime! Kill him if you want the money!”

“Kill him!”

Though the Demon Troopers themselves knew that Nathan was no easy target, they still made their attacks without hesitation.

They had always made a living by risking their lives. Death was under their nose, but they had long overcome the fear of it. After all, the prospect of a new life with a billion was too alluring.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

One by one, the Demon Troopers swung their swords at Nathan, creating gusts of wind cutting through the air.

Nathan didn't evade; he faced the attacks head-on.

With some smooth footwork, he barged right into the soldier before him.

Bam!

The soldier's bones shattered instantly. His disfigured body bounced off Nathan and was flung into the air like a lifeless puppet.

Whoosh!

Another soldier plunged onto Nathan with his sword.

Nathan remained calm and flicked his Snowsphere.

With a cracking sound, the small dagger blocked the sword.

Squinting his eyes, Nathan slid his dagger down the blade of the sword.

Crack!

In a split second, Nathan had sliced off the enemy's blade, as well as his wrist.

“Hmph. That's it? I guess it's my turn now,” Nathan scoffed coldly.

As he said those words, he swiveled his dagger in the air in an impeccably smooth motion.

Apocalypse's pupils dilated.

Time seemed to have slowed down for him, and at that moment, he felt as if he were trapped by Nathan's attack and simply stood there, paralyzed.

His body temperature seemed to be plunging, and he was quickly covered in cold sweat.

When he finally came to his senses, he hastily flung his sword before him in an attempt to shield himself from Nathan's attack.

The very next moment, Nathan slashed downward with his dagger.

Hiss!

Along with the whistling of Nathan's dagger, as it cut through the air, Apocalypse's sword shattered into two clean pieces.

A smooth slit also appeared on Apocalypse's face, from his forehead to his nose, mouth, and jaw. Blood oozed out profusely from that bizarrely straight cut.

It was a gash that perfectly split Apocalypse's face in half.

With his eyes void of life, Apocalypse uttered

weakly, “You truly... are the God of wₐᵣ «

Just as he said those words, his entire head split in half, and he, too, fell dead to the ground.
